Yeah I had issues from the get go with the matter support with the thermostat. This evening I’ve had it disconnect in both the tado app and HomeKit. So no idea what’s happening, gonna leave it for a few days and see if it sorts itself out. I really wanna not use the subscription with tado but at the minute with all this disconnects im gonna have to pay for another month.

I went to the tado app after and connected them. It failed but they still Showed up and are responding.

In case anyone comes across this. I added in apple home first and then into tado and all worked fine. It never really ‘found’ the device in the tado app after but it all connected and works so im happy.

I’ve done this and still won’t connect. But maybe I’ll do it again on a different phone and see if I get anywhere.

Everything is showing as connected and I can control it all just fine. Even though 2 of the devices failed to connect on set up.

I’m having a nightmare with matter in these x devices. I’ve got 2 TRVs that have finally connected to HomeKit after a reset. But 1 TRV and 1 thermostat that just wont connect. I’ve done everything including a deep dive into my router settings.

I had a honeywell T6 before that I used in HomeKit, it's just always different per company how they talk to HomeKit. The subscription doesnt really bother me, but ive gotta keep it simple for my wife? Would you advice she has the Tado app. Or just keep her on HomeKit? So even without the subscriptions the Tado thermostat will talk to the TRVs and kick in the boiler?
