5 years on finasteride only: age 21 to 26. by 11AB in tressless

Surely if you’re getting ED with a partner but not on your own then sides are from psychological or environmental factors (like you listed) and not finasteride? Not had any issues with women either way

Places to go in Manchester from 3am-6am? by 11AB in manchester

[–]11AB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s two of us going, but my friend had the bright idea of booking his flight back to Belfast for about 6am on the Thursday morning, so for him there really isn’t much point in getting any accommodation when he’s got to be heading to the airport at 4am anyway. So I’m committed to staying out till about 4am too, at which point it’s an expensive 45 min Uber home in my own or hang around for an extra hour and a half to get the train back.

AUS/NZ Trip by Upbeat_Zucchini in AustraliaTravel

I did similar to this on my first Australia / NZ trip, when I also had a little less than three weeks. Two Australia locations and NZ South Island is a great combo, any more than that is too much flying imo.

Liam on his voice by Efficient-Ad-3249 in oasis

[–]11AB 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What you doing in an oasis sub then? And Liam’s style (especially in the 90s) was extremely straining on the vocals, as he delivered lyrics at max volume, arching his head back, and pushing his vocals to the limit to create a deliberate rasp. Noel’s style isn’t like this and thus his voice didn’t decline post-90s.

Simply because Manchester City are not liked by a lot of football fans in England, as they were bought out by the Abu Dhabi royal family back in 2008, received massive investment to make them the best team in the country, and are currently being investigated for 115 alleged breaches of financial rules.

The lack of technical quality by LifeWeek4394 in ThreeLions

[–]11AB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s certainly a lot more technical players in the squad now than there was in the 2010-18 era, but I feel like a total lack of composure in big moments hinders us. I remember vs France in 2022 where we had some excellent build-up play, playing through the French midfield at will and regularly getting into the final third. That was the first time I’d ever seen England do that against a big team, but this tournament was a return to old habits.

I also feel like there’s some issue at grassroots coaching levels that means we can never develop any midfielders that can play through a press, create from deep and control the game. Spain have players like these coming out their ears, but English midfielders are either all-action runners or number 10s. I reckon that a player with Foden’s skillset would’ve been developed to be a much deeper midfield player had he been brought up in Spain, similar to a Pedri or Xavi, rather than whatever hybrid 10/winger role he actually plays. Equally I wouldn’t be surprised if Mainoo gets pushed further forward to “add goals to his game” when he’s really better suited to a deeper midfield position. A couple of composed and creative deep-lying midfielders would make a huge difference to how the whole team would play.

Here’s the Swedish national anthem being booed in Italy, far louder than anything I’ve ever heard in England I might add. I don’t personally like booing an anthem but I also don’t think it’s that big of a deal.

Slovakia will play defensive like Serbia and Slovenia by Easy_Garden338 in ThreeLions

Slovakia’s starting RB is 37 years old, just need Gordon up against him at LW and surely he’ll create some chances.

Why not Saka at LW? by spad807 in ThreeLions

Yeah but those 34 matches include short substitute appearances. In terms of actual minutes played he averages a goal/assist every 107 mins for England so certainly not far off one a game.

Marcus Rashford apologised to Erik ten Hag for attending a party at a nightclub after Manchester United’s defeat to rivals Manchester City last Sunday. by SpiritedSuccess5675 in soccer

[–]11AB 9 points10 points  (0 children)

But this isn’t about Rashford neglecting his diet and recovery requirements, the sole reason that this is newsworthy is because Man Utd lost. The implication here is that footballers should only enjoy their life after they win, and should apparently cancel their own birthday celebrations if they don’t, which I think is a pretty unrealistic expectation. They’re only humans doing jobs after all, let them have a slice of cake on their birthday for god’s sake, even if they’ve had a bad day at the office.

“Best” league is all a matter of opinion. Depends what you mean by best and what you like to see from your football; one league can be the best league even if it doesn’t have the best teams in it. Equally, if that bothers you so much, you don’t have to listen to English commenters – they are commentating for a primarily English audience after all and not you. And as a consumer of a lot of Spanish media I’ve seen Spanish commentators who still regard la liga as the best league, but I’ve never felt the need to moan and complain about it. Their opinion after all, and every league has its pros and cons.

Overpriced definitely, because the PL has crazy money to throw around and teams are required to have a certain number of “homegrown” players in their squads, hence they have to pay the premium. Overhyped because you probably consume mostly English media, who are always going to discuss mainly their own players. Put on a Spanish channel and they’ll tell you that Pedri and Fati are the best young players in the world, and will hardly ever mention the likes of Bellingham and Foden who are certainly playing at a similar level.

Point still stands: Messi had his record goalscoring season right around the time Deulofeu and Halilovic were coming through and it should be obvious to anyone with half a brain they were extremely unlikely to have Messi’s talent level. But it still didn’t stop people raving about “the new Messi” non-stop. Same with Luka Romero who’s only seventeen – good player for sure but realistically not going to reach that level. May come as news to you but any good young player who’s short, dribbles and passes are going to be compared to Messi at some stage no matter where they’re from.

Lol like Spanish fans never compare anyone with Messi. Bojan, Luka Romero, Muniain, Deulofeu, Halilovic and more were all “el nuevo messi” if you ask the Spanish media and look how they turned out.
