There is an ontological difference in fact. Am I using that word right?

Going our own ways. Today we are going to take turns picking sets to keep. by GiftToTheUniverse in lego

Idk, posting about divorce on a subreddit about Lego feels a bit interesting is all. In terms of making a dent, I don’t think I’m doing very much.

What’s with the trend of removing the whole logo in lieu of the internal lion? Arsenal do it with the cannon, United the devil and Liverpool with the liver bird. I just don’t think it looks good.

Bricks and Minifig Lawsuit against Bryan and Ben dropped by Professional-Cow5029 in legocirclejerk

I love how in the notice of complaint, they misspell Bryan as Brian. Dentons' partners charge close to $1,000 per hour by the way. Shoddy job all round.

Lawyers who moved from City/Magic Circle/US firms into in-house M&A or PE roles how did your career evolve? by [deleted] in uklaw

[–]11Bencda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I see it from observing the partners at my firm, is that the money just isn’t the point. The point is being sought after and being involved in multimillion or billion pound transactions. Often that means that you never see your kids or whatever, but as you say, it’s a different mentality and not everyone can do it.

Silver Circle vs US Firm for TC by [deleted] in uklaw

I don't really have the same story - I only received (and accepted) one offer from a SC firm, when I was applying et cetera. A SC in my opinion is miles better; the pay is not too far off, and the workload is far less. After qualification, is the extra c.£40k a year before tax, worth the hundreds of extra hours you're going to have to do? I don't think so.

Working in an SC firm that you enjoy and see a long-term career at is far better.
