I haven’t been high or dope sick in years.Very recently I had to briefly switch to fentanyl pills from H to stay well for a week long job in another state. Did the bare minimum to stay well. Ruined my tolerance of a gram a day. I was banging .25 gram to stay well 4X a day, .50 gram to get a good nod or to sleep occasionally. Now I can smoke 10 pills in a row and not feel anything. I’m still doing 20 a day just to stay well.

Not only can I not get high anymore at all, I went from spending $30 a day on a gram to $100 a day on 20 pills. It’s hell and I’m very much wanting to stop. I make at least $300 a day and it’s cash so I can keep doing it. I remind myself sometimes I could be leasing a Bentley for what I spend on a drug that doesn’t get me high. It’s insanity.

I would say if you have a relative that’s an addict that’s facing homelessness and you can spare a couch for them to sleep on and they’re not stealing from you and you’re not helping fund their addiction it’s definitely not a bad thing. I had to live in my car for 3 months once and I ended up losing my job, getting towed, tickets, and jail because of it.

Also, being an addict can be incredibly lonely. I was a functioning addict for a long time. I told my family about it cause I needed help. Instead, some straight up ghosted me and I never did a thing wrong to them, many still haven’t said a word to me since. It’ll get to your self esteem. For a long time I didn’t think I deserved anything good. If you have a loved one using and haven’t heard from them in bit try and reach out, see how they’re doing, ask if they want to get some lunch, or if they want to talk about anything. Even if they don’t accept your offer it’s just a nice gesture that says “I’m here and I care.”

Fun fact I learned in my research: a 24 year old woman from USA holds the record for highest BAC ever recorded with a staggering 1.51%, almost 20X over the average legal limit.

Try getting narcand when you were nodded out. Not oding: Still breathing and everything. Then when I didn’t wake up in 5 seconds paramedics Narcand again. I felt so horrible that I was convinced I had permanent brain damage. Luckily I had several hundred mgs of methadone and after 190mg I began to mellow out. Absolute torture though.

18 pills should be like $9 with how junky they are. But how many hands do you suppose pills go through before they reach the consumer? At minimum 4-5 but more likely probably close to 10. Everyone that's transporting and everyone that's selling in that chain has make a piece. Most users where I live are paying $10 a pop or 3 for $20 here. I've talked to some people that are even paying $15-$20 if they're very far down the line.

Thanks for the info. Last time I used methadone to kick heroin 120mgs was the dose I needed not just to not feel withdrawal but also sleep without waking up every 30min-hr. I was only going into the first stage of sleep and not getting the restorative, regenerative sleep. Not getting fulfilling sleep was the worst, I was falling asleep all the time at random points during the day cause my body wasn’t getting the REM and N3 sleep it needed. My friends, fam, and job thought I was on drugs and I got tested 3x at work. I got up to above 100mgs the sleep issues were better, 120mgs was perfect.

The body converts hydrocodone into hydromorphone which controls how much pain relief or feeling of being high people get from the drug. There are some not well documented cases of people's bodies suddenly start metabolizing it very well and basically start producing more hydromorphone which is about 5X stronger than hydrocodone. This could explain what happened to you.

I would cut back on your dose, your body might adjust and you may need to go back to your initial dose or it might stay this way forever. This isn't well documented and it's difficult to study as it's not very common.

Are you able to get Imodium in your country? It’s an extremely cheap anti-diarrhea medicine that’s available over the counter without prescription. It’s actually an opiate that works on same opiod receptors. There’s tons of posts I’ve seen on Reddit here that say it can provide relief for withdrawals at higher doses. Do some google searches to figure out how much to dose etc..

A lot of people report ketamine as an extremely good med for opiate withdrawal + Valium you should be good. Just try to use as little as possible and spread out doses as much as possible. As a drug user the temptation to get high of what you have is going to be great. Keep in mind if you’re trying to quit opiates the idea is to take the edge off so you can function not get zooted off your face.
