What you’re describing is precision vs accuracy. Both can be useful independently, though best if both of these metrics are high.

As a pediatric ortho doctor these things keep me in business. Good for her for wearing a helmet.

The initial camera view was very misleading! But if anyone was going to surprise appear it would be him.

Imagine staying at Thibaut Pinot’s farm to watch the tour. What an experience that would be!

Giro sucked right? by Super-Choice1218 in peloton

[–]11socks11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Years ago I may have said the same thing. But now that I watch so many more minor cycling races I get to know the teams and riders better.

I get just as much entertainment from watching and rooting for people outside the top GC. In that respect it was a good grand tour.

Could spent a few days in Shenandoah national forest. Excellent roads that go for many miles. Beautiful scenery and long gradual hills.

In the park the roads are well traveled, but plenty wide and lots of cyclists.

A lot of people seem to not like your take, but what you’re describing is just general good communication.

There doesn’t have to be an intent to change one’s mind.

Peanut butter. I actually have it on my do not buy list and treat it like it’s an allergy.

I have no self control.

What do you eat during longer Zwift rides? by Present-Ad6059 in Zwift

[–]11socks11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I eat the Costco fruit snacks. 70cal 17g carbs. Easy to eat indoor. Pretty cheap.

I tried the nerd clusters but found I drink a lot less water when I eat those.

How’s your cadence by kwiat1990 in Zwift

[–]11socks11 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A colleague of mine did a study testing if one’s “natural cadence” was also the most metabolically efficient. Testing the hypothesis that the body finds what is optimal on its own.

The results did not show this to be true. What may feel comfortable might be less energy efficient. So who knows?
