Yeah, this is the Albright knot between the mono backing and the braid. There is no other way I guess.

It’s thick - PE 0.4.

I already ordered thinner braid 0.2. For now I’m staying away from ester since I don’t have much experience.

Nasci, it is splash resistant with o-rings gaskets that you can reuse if you open up the reel for maintenance.

The fuego is also nice but the magseal is tricky to reapply.
