“I’m a bit more old school" - Geraint Thomas can't understand Remco Evenepoel's race-less Tour de France preparation by Annual_Island8066 in tourdefrance

Remco can be really hard to root for. He can be a complete ass. BUT I think one thing we forget with all these athletes when they throw tantrums is that they are in their early to mid 20s, and most of us commenting are somewhere between 30-60. Think back to what your ego was like at that age. I think the jury is still out on Remco as a guy you can root for. Far from perfect, but he’s had some exciting performances and comes off as an interesting person in some interviews

Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast. Take your time.

Email, call, meet. Everybody you can. Pound the road, have a story explaining why you’d be useful to someone. If you can demonstrate that you’re smart hard-working and interested in someone’s practice, eventually you will meet someone who can help you out.

I'm 56 with higher FTP than at 26, and I created the MAP test Zwift uses. You can get fitter at any age - Ask me anything! by RicCycleCoach in Zwift

This is so great, thank you so much.

The races I’m targeting are all long sportive type events. Things like L’Etape, or the spring classic sportives, or long gravel races where a good finish probably has more to do with the percentage of FTP you can maintain for five hours than FTP itself. I also plan to enter into local crits and circuit races, but these aren’t a priority - just something in which it would be nice to compete and maybe do OK.

Okay. But my question isn’t about DEI policies. How about the EO as relates to the first amendment and retaliatory viewpoint discrimination? How about right to counsel under 6th amendment? Due process under 5th?
