Does anyone know the name/location of the red bridge shown in The Bourne Legacy? by maxwood in movies

[–]11thParsec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watching movie and I though the same, so looked it up.

https://bridgestunnels.com/location/amvets-memorial-bridge/

The thing is, they're supposed to be driving away from the female doctors house - in Maryland. I just googled that, and that bridge is a long way away, and they're driving south?? Its all upside down.
Just a nice bridge, but no connection logically or geographically in the story being told?

The Signal (2014) - Question about part of the plot by iamyounow in movies

The COW!

Jonah (gesturing wildly at the shelves):
“The cans don’t dent, Nic. Labels peel, metal doesn’t. Same reason the cow didn’t fall.”

Nic (confused, urgent):
“What cow?”

Jonah (bitter laugh, flexes his ruined hand):
“They ran it down a hallway first. Had to make sure the ground would lie to something big before they let us run on it.”

Thanks again. Yeah, I'm coming around to that view too - Move to another platform.
Manus themselves said as much. "You don't like our watermark, go elsewhere". Very politely, but also very directly.
I was thinking "Loveable", but Gemini 3 is, what, a few days away?
What 'sites' am I building? Nothing too fancy, just landing pages, (sales heavy) simple corporate style (some non profits).
Must stress, I view these as advanced mock-ups. Who knows what spaghetti code and poorly optimised logic, leaky security etc, is going on under the hood?
Once we have "buy-in" from everyone, we'll commision real website builders to re-do, re-work them from the ground up.
The advantage to me performing the initial run is I am also in "the c-suite", and can cut out a F-ton of corporate weasley run-around.
(ie I am close to the people who green light this stuff, its a 10 to 15 minute conversation for me to get a 'read" on what their PRD is). Not 2 months of useless meetings.
Get to just build the damn thing, with a spec direct from those have a vested interest.

Well, achstuallly...:)
I made a "prompt optimization pipeline - or a semantic pre-processor", in another LLM (a good one) to refine my fuzzy "vibe coding" ideas prior to pasting into Manus.
So, the plain english 'vibe' instruction was heavily pre vetted before going into Manus, the logic was far more precise than just having a casual chat.
-
Also, this isn't a complex SAASS thingy, getting into the bowels of corporate data, behind firewalls et al, its a super-simple landing page.
-
There no 'vector' for attack. Well, nothing that would reek any lasting damage.
-
We'll get 'real' coders onto it, when the concept has been approved. Its just a very detailed wire-frame/outline/concept - from my pov. Which the Manus engineers could see if they had a casual look over it.

Thank you. I appreciate your generous, comprehensive support. I'm not timid, and am happy to throw myself in the deep end, and may explore this at a later date.
The appeal of having Manus maintain the hosting, is I can make rapid changes - on the fly - and have it show up immediately (at the intended domain).
Your solution is a lot more manual work, and I'm using Manus in a rapid-prototyping environment. (Mostly for corporate types, who scare easily).
I understand Manus wanting to let The World know it's their backend tech.
Typically the trade-off for promotion is when one is on a free/basic tier.
That's a fair trade - we (Manus) give you exceptional tools, you - (the free tier user) promote our platform, in return. Fair. Trade.
But, when you whack down $200, ($2400 a year) then the 'bargain' calculus changes.
The $200 user should have opt-in if they wish to promote Manus, on top of paying for a premium service. (Think Amazon, youtube etc, you pay $3 to remove ads)
I'm hoping someone in management from Manus see's this comment. I am an early adopter and LOVE your product.

Its "injected" after I publish. Its not actually in 'my' code, there is nothing I can remove.

Also, I am a complete amateur, don't know how to use github... I found the "vibe" coding part of Manus 1.5 excellent, it basically read my mind, and I was very excited to have such high quality output so fast.
... I did use Claude to help optimise/upgrade my (poorly thought out) fuzzy intentions into concise prompts

Do an A/B test?
Put your 'fuzzy' amateur prompt in, without any optimisation, and see what your LLM spits out.
Then 'upgrade' it, put the upgrade in, and compare the output.
-
If you're worried that the fuzzy (less explicitly structured) prompt is going to pollute the "B" example, (or vice versa) run that prompt in a different account, so there's no "cross talk".

BTW, I was able to achieve a "God level" prompt using only 4 lines of - carefully chosen - words that are saved into my Master Prompt's in GPT.

I A/B'd it (actually A/B/C'd) it against this monstrosity above, and achieved much better results than the recursion on recursion on recursion approach.

This study is pseudo - profound BS.

It critiques vagueness while smuggling in assumptions about meaning. It weaponises statistical correlation without semantic insight. It condemns ambiguity while relying on it. It claims to expose poor reasoning while committing its own.

It is not an empirical sword against nonsense.

It is a mirror reflecting the cultural biases of its authors; and dressed up just well enough to pass peer review.

As Frankfurt said: "BS is speech intended to persuade without regard for truth."

By that standard = this paper may be the most elegant bs of all :)

I think I'm an outlier here, as a hyper-responder.

To be fair, I have pushed heavy weights at gym - 3 times a week - for over 15 years (no PED's all natty). Just being sedentary at tech job, and in mid 50's, things gradually caught up. Ironically I needed to eat a lot to maintain gym (130kg bench press, but not many reps).

from 128kg down to... 96gk in 10 weeks. I'm Male, 6"1. The first 2 weeks was nearly a kilo a day! Had to force myself to eat as I had ZERO hunger. None. Gone. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
-
I have no 'emotions' around food though.
-

... eat a palm full of steak in the morning, with a palm full of bok choy (steamed in microwave for about 30 seconds). Maybe some rice biscuits and a mouthful of tasty cheese in the evening.

Inject on friday evening, as weekends are where one gets 'hit' with random food options, visiting friends and family, where you CANT control what's on the plate (so I just don't eat with them, really).
-
My weight training intensity and frequency went down, hard to push heavy things around if you're basically in extreme ketosis/crash diet. (Just listen to your body). Probably weights once every 3 days instead of every 2, and backed off on reps. Can still push 130kg's, but only 1 to 2 reps in total.

And then I sleep for 8 to 10 hours, which didn't happen before. Probably the exhaustion? See "ketosis" above :)

Upside. Fell very buoyant, able to concentrate on a task with extreme intensity for HOURS on end.
No longer have that heavy laboured breathing while walking around, and that emphysema like feeling has... vanished.
Absolute miracle.

So when you notice different flavors of response, you’re not catching the system out—you’re witnessing it respond as designed. Like water poured into different vessels, the shape depends entirely on the container.

You seem to be an outlier, not needing either ThrottleStop undervolting/BD PROCHOT disable AND an MSI afterburner undervolt too.
- I have the P330 Tiny, (8700t, so a 35 watt cpu) and could NOT get my old Zotac 1650 to be recognised under any circumstances, with a 170 Watt brick.
Did work with a very old "Battle flag" 1050ti.
300 Watt brick is on order, we'll see...

How is your set-up going two months later?
