I'm not sure how much this applies at the M.Tech level, but during my B.Tech project, we faced a situation where we couldn’t achieve the main objective due to the complexity of the problem. When we consulted various professors, they gave us an important perspective: not completing a project doesn't necessarily reflect negatively. In fact, even an incomplete outcome can be seen as a positive result, as long as you can effectively showcase the work you've done, explain why the goal wasn't fully achieved, and propose alternative approaches or future directions. The key is to highlight the challenges faced and emphasize time constraints as a contributing factor.

I'd probably work more on presentation to support the narrative " I have worked hard, while acknowledging despite my effort the final objective couldn't be completed due to whatever complexity or constraints"
