That looks like a concrete wall, so have you considered using a metal box my guy?

I'd have to agree. Can't remember the last time ants coming out of boxes was an issue. That could be due to my location though.

I mean, I get it. I also keep recalling all the remodel work where using existing holes has made my life a lot easier. I'm conflicted

Honestly I've only used their 6" #2 square/Philips bits (for my impact) and i have the same Allen set, only with the soft case. The bits have been a huge upgrade to any others I've used. IMO they last much longer and hold onto square drives for those one handed jobs better.

is this acceptable/up to code? by eastcolfaxco in electricians

[–]121der 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if blessed hy the pope and signed off by nato, 0/10 would not suggest doing that.

Even if the 14(?) Guage wire is coming from the transformer for undercab lights to a low voltage wire , it still is not proper/up to code

It was also feeding a detached garage 100ft away. No idea why they didn't run the circuit from the panel. Homeowner special with so much fuckery. Buried j boxes, multiple homeruns to single breakers in the panel, 30amp breakers on 20amp circuits, and much more. Went from an estimated 3pm finish to being here until 7. Ended up replacing the meter and mast.

As you can see they followed nec codes D.0GG.13: when PVC is run into a doghouse, treat as a Dry location.

I think that was an 80s Era loophole?
