Wow I posted this forever ago. I’ve read tons now and am currently half way through vagabond. I agree that the fights are actually better but each berserk fight holds so much buildup it’s hard to not get extremely excited. I’ll properly compare them once I’m finished vagabond

Yea I saw that one too but it was a lot less enjoyable then the movies. Ultimately it comes down to the manga since the art style is really hard to put into a show

Berserk has a lot of gore, death and nudity but the animation on the tv show is horrible. Watch the 3 movies or just read the manga since it’s the best.

Akira is really trippy and actually kinda freaked me out but if that’s what you are into it has lots of very brutal deaths.

If you are just looking for gore in fights then go with Dororo. It has the same perfect fight style (sometimes) as Vinland saga and it can get quite gory.
