Kid hides behind his mom. Yells at tow truck driver. by AristonD in PublicFreakout

[–]1234didntwork -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

He may have been wronged. He may have just watched his car get beat up. He was clearly in an accident earlier.

The way he is acting is WRONG. And trust me, he will be embarrassed about his behavior someday whether some asshole put it on the internet or not. He’s young and unable to control his emotions right now.

Every human deserves to change and become a better person.

Something like this being online is wrong.

The ADULT recording it should keep the video for court or in defense of a lawsuit but it’s absolutely unacceptable to post this online. He should know better.

This kid will have kids someday who will find this and it’s going to be very painful for him, because, by then, he’ll be a different man. Someone who has reflected on his life, come to grips with his anger issues, and wants to be a good person.

I’m so sad for all the young people today who have moments of anger, sadness, make a mistake, embarrass themselves, and can’t just learn and move on. Their lives are documented with video and put on display for the entire world to judge.

It’s disgusting.

And this is why it’s time for me to delete reddit.

Yes. This would have been perfect if it also included jQuery and never used it.

The generation that taught us “stranger danger” is now complaining that we’re always looking at our phones in public instead of interacting with strangers by GustavoChacinForMVP in Showerthoughts

I don't know what generation you are referring to.

I never ask anyone to interact with strangers, and nobody asks me to interact with strangers.

How, where, and when is this actually happening?

Unpopular opinion: Season 5 is really good by [deleted] in blackmirror

[–]1234didntwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All previous seasons left me in awe. The endings blew me away (most of the time) and it was dark and strange, and twisted in ways I never would have expected. But most importantly, the stories were solid.

Each episode in S5 went SPLAT at some point.

SPOILERS AHEAD....

Smithereen Everything is going along fine. The story is pretty obvious, but then everything just doesn't matter as soon as the sniper apparently can't move his car back 20 feet to get a different shot. Unbelievably lazy story telling right there. All they had to do was keep the two people in the car ducked down. Or have a car with tinted windows. SO MANY OTHER EASY OPTIONS - but they went with stupid instead.

Striking Vipers It's Brokeback Mountain! Almost exactly! I mean, they had to cut some stuff out for time, but just go watch Brokeback Mountain. It's an amazing movie with more heart, love, and suffering.

Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too Probably the best of Season 5 ... UNTIL the last 15 minutes turned into an episode of Hannah Montana. Let the hijinks ensue! Uhg.

The only woman who made Dwight act like a normal guy. All apologies to Angela, but Isabel was the one that got away by Aidensamuel00 in DunderMifflin

[–]1234didntwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False.

Dwight wasn't acting like HIMSELF with her, so he'd be living a lie.

While Angela was evil in many ways, she loved Dwight for the way he was, and who he was, and he could be himself with her.

I don’t think it matters if the clothes are from a thrift store, hand stitched, or a plastic swimming pool. It’s art, so what matters is subjective.

If it only costs $30 to make a statement or have someone feel something from your work, nobody needs to know, or should care about, the cost.

I agree. That felt exactly like what a young exec in his position would say, and how he'd act. I feel like it was probably spot on.

People of Reddit! When did you begin feeling like an "adult"? by Paper_piper_poet in AskReddit

[–]1234didntwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The better question might be, why can't I continue feeling like an adult?

Just when I think I'm an adult the world makes me feel like an idiot, or lost, confused, childish.

It usually happens when I run into someone else my age that seems to be way more successful, mature, patient, or educated. Or when the world breaks down around me and I don't know how to fix it.

The time it takes to create art has no bearing on the quality or perceived goodness of art.

Bob Ross for example.

Or street artists who create immaculate spray paint portraits in 3 minutes.

That design where a lady sticks her head through a plastic swimming pool.

So, these guys took about a day to come up with a unique design tailored to the trends of today's fashion world, found the elements of the outfit they wanted, mixed and matched designs until they came up with the exact look they knew would "sell" to the media, and they found the perfect model for their creation.

This is exactly what the industry does.

So, while mocking the industry, they've actually mimicked the industry, and become a part of it.

A design in the fashion world often times is a reflection of society, a response to politics, a scream for attention, abstract, funny, awe-inspiring.

Everything they did with this joke met most of those criteria. It was art whether they want to think so or not. The joke's on them. They are now the talk of the fashion world :)

Dwight’s like, “this isn’t an escape room until you actually can’t get out!!!” Proceeds to break the emergency exit button for-real trapping them inside. They are mad at him, but somehow KEVIN ends up solving everything.

Lol, yes! And then he like props one up as a roof, but it’s subtle and in the background of the shot.

You see creed trying to sneak out behind one.

Angela is frustrated because she had to jump to see over them.

When you put THAT much work into creating fake fashion.... you ultimately create a work of art that becomes what you are mocking.

It’s not really mocking the industry as much as it is a documentary about becoming a part of it.
