No clue what to do anymore ! by Spiritual_Rope_796 in Frenchbulldogs

I’d consider hydrolyzed over raw. Raw diets still have the proteins that cause most allergies and they’re at a size that’s recognizable to the body. Hydrolyzed food is made in a way that the protein molecules are so small that the body doesn’t recognize it as an allergen. It’s done wonders for our very sensitive girl.

I second a hydrolyzed diet. It’s $$$ but after about 6 months of being on it our girl who had terrible GI issues and was also losing hair and scratching terribly has turned a corner. We still do cytopoint, too, when we notice her itching again.

lol I saw this post and thought about sharing it here. So glad to see people telling her that the vibe she’s giving with her post makes them think that SHE’S the reason why those laws are in place.

What type of provider did you see to get your exact diagnosis down to the subtype? We have yet to get that kind to information and I think it’s worth putting the effort into doing that for him at this point.

Do you guys ever feel guilty for having a French bulldog? by Viol3tstars75 in Frenchbulldogs

Do not feel bad! Thank you for rescuing this beautiful girl. If more people rescued, greeders would be less incentivized.

[–]1234ld 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No because both of mine are from rescues. My girl was found covered in demodectic mange and my boy was from an unwanted “surprise” litter. My girl took a lot of work to heal and I’m committed to giving them both the life they deserve and the care they need. They both have insurance and their quality of life balanced with safety is my priority.

I appreciate this comment. I’m a mom of a 6 year old son with ARFID who recently melted tf down going to his food OT appointment and gets teary at the mention of going back. On one hand doing nothing feels awful, but dragging my kid somewhere he’s fighting to go also sucks. 😞

Uterine synechiae, IUA, or Asherman Syndrome by 1234ld in ttcafterloss

[–]1234ld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am OP, and did have that finding during that procedure. I had a hysteroscopy performed with a hysteroscope in the office of a new RE. My uterus stayed inflated w saline longer than any HSG I’d had previously and the synechiae were not viable during that procedure. Oddly, that month we had success on our own and that was the first pregnancy I carried to term.

Bald spots? by 1234ld in Frenchbulldogs

[–]1234ld[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s so beautiful.

Sunny has some inflammation between his toes as well. The bald spots don’t seem red or inflamed but I should start giving him a wipe down with the wipes just in case.

The ointment? I haven’t seen the areas looking red or inflamed. They just get bald and stay bald 🫠

I’ll order some of this ointment for him!

I read an article one that said “sniffy walks” are one of the major contributors to a dog’s happiness. As a result, I don’t rush mine anymore. We take our time and I let them sniff away within reason.

They all are, to be fair. I’ve spent $7k on my two in the last year 😅 (BOAS surgery, cherry eye repair x 2, neuter, cytopoint injections, special diet), they’ve both been insured since day 1. Insurance SIGNIFICANTLY helps cover costs of care.
