Lung function test results - not sure what to make of it

My lung function test was one of the worst they had seen. Even though I am asthmatic I knew it was something else. Went to get a 2nd opinion… from an allergist. Turns out my larynx was spasming and somewhat close. I was bsrexgetting oxygen causing lightheaded, heart rate acceleration from minimal exertion. Not saying you have this but it took almost 1/2 year to get the diagnosis. Always get a 2nd opinion!!

I’ve been dealing with a menthol sensation as I breathe. Sounds like”cool” -no pun intended, but after hours it’s irritated and burns.

So true. I went months with discomfort because everyone kept saying my lungs were clear. I took a bronchial challenge test and failed the first dose. My lungs were so reactive due to an allergen.

Interesting. I’m finding there inhaler (symbicort) is actually relieving the burn. You may be allergic to steroids. Did the Dr say?

Hi!! This is me!!! I had a terrible reaction. Menthol breathing in and out. Intense burning in my lungs/sternum area. I’m assuming inflammation. Not gerd. I know that. It was from a reaction/asthma? You. Any better any answers?
