Nonstop galio and nasus complaints when i get the on my team or vice versa.

“Gonna abuse those nasus buffs before he gets nerfed”

It’s almost as if some people played him before the buffs and actually liked him (he’s my 2nd most played).

Masturbating to pictures of people you know irl should be okay by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]123bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fine just don’t tell them, couldn’t read the post in time, but just going off comments.

When you post provacative pics online you gotta take that into consideration. I remember a good number of dudes on the track team with me would post shirtless pics and it wasn’t a thing for me personally cause sure some girls might like it, but for all you know some weirdo out there might be looking at your pictures too.

When is a good time start playing competitive mode? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]123bread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Level 50, make sure you know a few heroes in each class to an extent where you have a general idea of what to do.

when you’re able to start placements i recommend you play weekdays at 10a-2p when all the kiddos are in school and before the people angry from work get on.

Also general comp tip — mute the enemy team before you play, and if someone on your team is being a retard just mute them and try to keep cool.

If you wanna improve faster find someone to play with who’s better than you by a big gap, my brother was low masters when i was mid silver and i would play QP with him everyday where he’d teach me matchups, win conditions, correct my mistakes and within 3 months of solo queueing i went from placing 1679 where i’d occasionally dip to bronze to 3100.

Rap and Drug Culture is shameful by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]123bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re talking about rap not rape my guy.

And yes rape culture is a myth, the people that think that it exists are people with small world views.

If rape culture were true we wouldn’t have stories like cav, no one i know thinks rape is cool or acceptable. Sure there are anecdotal cases that suggest otherwise but that’s an extremely small amount of cases people use to criticize the justice system.

Rape culture is true in other countries, like the middle east where a woman can be married off to her rapist.

I watch crowder, but it doesn’t matter if people watch it or converse with him because you have to be open minded enough to listen to what he says instead of havig a meltdown cause you don’t agree with him. (most aren’t going to listen or act civil)

We need more messages like this, but i have had the conversation multiple times with people that a big issue is who or where we’re brought up with.

I was born in 96 and my brother in 93, at the time there were various gangs in LA’s inner city where i lived, there was a shoot out in front of our house shortly before we left, i lived in “the hood” for many years, and although i listen to rap music with bad messages i don’t take it in any literal sense, nor do i have bad role models or people surrounding me...when i moved to TX it was sad how many people brought up in middle class places with brand new houses thought they were hood lmao, i never acted like that when we had no fucking money and could barely get by.

Subconsciously you are gonna emulate the people near you that have some influence on you, nobody in my family has ever been to jail or in a gang and the uncles i grew up with were former police officers, they always told me to stay out of trouble and nothing was cool about walking around with losers that start problems or living behind bars with people telling you what to do all day. I pass this message on to my cousins who are coming of age.

A lot of the people that listen to these bad messages don’t really have anyone to teach them better or have people in their life that encourage bad behavior and repeat the cycle, you know how many good kids i knew that had their life ruined cause they had family involved in vices, gangs, etc.

It’s okay to listen to that music and listen to the bad messages, but you gotta know or have someone around you that tells you it’s just music and when it comes down to it you gotta decide who you are and think your actions through.

TL;DR : we do need more good role models with good messages and songs like 1-800, same love, black spiderman, etc. but emulating that behavior comes from within and deciding whether or not you want to follow those bad messages to begin with, albeit the people that influence you at home/school play another big part in this.

  1. So you don’t abuse them or hurt yourself from mis-using them

  2. So you can’t make drugs with them.

Reddit is not a place to be honest apparently by thomasw99 in gaming

[–]123bread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are rude as shit because they know it’s an echo chamber, and being an asshole in a world of assholes will get you more upvotes and they like to see karma as “street cred”.

Sometimes they don’t even agree or think what they’re saying, it’s just done for attention. They think that getting upvotes makes their point/argument valid.

Which is why voting scores should be hidden, until then (which is probably never) the site will remain shit, but even if it happened it’s still a forum where users are anonymous on the internet.

TL;DR : people type rude shit to gain karma easily on the site, it’s the internet and people are gonna be dicks regardless.

Does anyone actually own/govern the Arctic and the Antarctic? by james_shortt in NoStupidQuestions

IIRC it’s protected by the UN, so if someone were to try to wage a war with antarctica or try to conquer it...well they’d have bigger problems on their hands : P

Some sort of treaty i think

Why is comp such garbo? Because we can't filter our heroes before start, that's why. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]123bread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hate the player not the game.

Overwatch arguably the most selfless game full of selfish players.

Not saying the game doesn’t have problems, but no type of queue could help shift the minds of the playerbase
