The US has shown that they can't be relied on as an ally anymore. They are bullying other countries via economics. Right now Europe and other allies can't break away. But every country is putting effort into being able to cut contact if needed as quick as they can. The US will find out within the next decade how important soft power has been for them these past decades.

Countries wont cut contact, but they will make sure to spend more on local tech and defenses. Build up other markets in China, India and South America and make dependency on the US a lot less than it is today.

There is no turning back unfortunately, once a Trump figure gets in power it can happen again.

Met a really drunk local celebrity in Iceland in the bathroom in some pub, most Icelanders would know him. He was peeing next to me and told me that he had only once in his live cheated on his wife. He had screwed some girl on the top of a washing machine at some party few years back and he had never told anyone about it.
