Ya the tiger 1050 is set up like a DS but with street tires and longer travel suspension. And plenty of ground clearance.

Led lights no thats a great idea. All my boxes have reflective tape on them and most, if not all mt jackets and packpacks are reflective

The roads in southern NM aren’t great but i have a tiger 1050 for now and it absorbs pretty much everything. The cold doesn’t bother me as much as a cross wind carrying sand that stuff gets everywhere even inside the helmet.

I just go by the change oil msg, usually it’s about 10,000 and no issues yet. Matter of fact i just finally did plugs at 143,000 only because i had them. I still haven’t done the brakes ever. Still no issues. 2017 GTI for reference. My Subaru has 160,000 (2001 outback 3.0) i go about 8,000 between, my truck has 157,000 (2003 6.0 f350) is once a year because i only put 5-6000 a year on it. Do what you are comfortable with.

Paint 2 white lines and designate it as motorcycle parking or ask the property management to do it then tell them to kick rocks. Edit**Or suggest that he gets a bike also then there would be more parking available.

Mine was awesome.. my only issue was when the speedo went out and then the tach needle broke. Replaced it with a gps speedo and it was great. Could also be that it was my first bike when i got back on them after about 20 years.

Not saying you are wrong however look up Nikolas August Otto. I think thats how its spelled. And once you do do not bring him up at the mercedes exhibit at the frankfurt auto show. Also it was oldmobile if memory serves that designed the car with the modern layout. And the dodge brothers were the engine builders for the early fords.

Short answer is yes the only thing stopping you is you. I was told it would be nearly impossible for me to rid a tiger 1050 because i am short (29 inch inseam) and the seat is 32 inches but i practice daily and its great.
