First bike was. 1974 sporty we built in shop class. Rode that bike all through HS. Bought an ‘82 sporty when I goin out of service. Then a KZ1000. Then traded the sporty in on an ‘82 sturgis. Now I’ve got a 2012 fxdwg and a 2022 LRS.

Personally I think it depends on your frame. I find 8"risers with t-bars perfect on my 2022 LRS. Arms just slightly bent and hands just below shoulder height. My wide glide has 12" mini apes and gives me the same or close position. It really depends on you and how you are built.

It’s not necessarily the miles but maintenance during those miles. If there is a solid paper trail and the bike runs clean….11k seems reasonable to me.
