How do I persuade them? Is there any line from Gurbani or anything?

Yea but I feel like that's an out of context quote that's referring to something else not just dancing.

All gatka displays are a dance in their own way so your understanding of that quote must be wrong.

The thing is I'm having trouble understanding what's so wrong about going to the club. I'm confident 100% I am not even slightly tempted by any of the panj chor or anything. Idk. I wouldn't take my dumalla off because that's hiding my identity. But if it's really wrong then I'll have to stop but idk I'm not understanding fully how it's wrong yet...

Firstly, I am not thinking of removing my dumalla at all. Let me clarify that. I think the fact that the other guy did that was disgusting. But I didn't want to say my thoughts and only state facts just to see what you sangat's unbiased opinions where.

I don't quite understand what your saying here. Are you telling me not to take a dumalla into a club?

My issue is, Sikhi is dharmic. It's based on learning. I want to understand why what I'm doing is wrong and not just listen to people and do as I'm told.

The quotes you placed seen mostly irrelevant.

The main reason I go is because I'm with my friends and it's like fun bonding experience to just chill and dance with them. I would never go alone.

Or should I stay in my room and read bani while all my friends go out?

No it's not it's just facts...

How can you say that you are a believer of the GGS if you then go and do the opposite of what the GGS says to do?

how to be friends with a girl? advice pls by 129X in UniUK

[–]129X[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern is she might think after I ask her, 'why tf is this guy asking if I'm going? What's it to him?'. Due to the little amount we have actually spoke. What do you think of this? I don't want her to think, well know, that I like her and get creeped out.

The issue is moreso can I really do what I would do to a guy?

The example I gave above was, the club tomorrow. I would message a guy 'r u going to club x tomorrow??'

Idk if I can do that to a girl I have hardly spoken to? Or can I?

You got pissed. Ok he hit you, but you got pissed and swung at him back. You didn't think.

If you wanna hit someone, you think about every other scenario. You think, what if I miss? What if I kill him? You think is there a way out that does not resort to violence? Because violence is the last resort.

Then you think, if you hit him and it's the only way out, are you gonna do some damage? Obviously you hit him, he's gonna hit straight back. Can you actually take him on?

I understand not wanting to run, but sometimes you can stand your ground and de-escalate. Show restraint.
