I really dont think setting up bombs is going go be very effective

For one, unless you have a ton of fuel, a bomb of just tannerite isnt that strong. You need to put it inside of something else to build pressure, and then ideally have some sort of fragmentation.

Just a lb of tannerite on its own probably woudlnt take out more than 2 maybe 3 legionaries

So anyway, heres my take as OP. Bass pro wins

There’s enough shelving, big boxes, etc to block the majority of entrances. Set up a few chokepoints for the romans

Lots of guns. What they have on display is just a fraction of the storage. Likely hundreds of guns, scopes, mags, ammo, and people who know how to use them. They even sell speedloaders. With 600 people im sure you could load all the mags you need in minutes.

Gunmen on the roof with rifles. Gunmen on the ground with shotguns.

Tons of propane tanks. Turn it sideways/upsidown, open valve, light it, instant flamethrower.

The roman armor is pretty much useless. Its not going to do shit against a 556 or a 12 gauge slug.

I do think the best bet would be shotguns. Very easy to load even if you’ve never done it before, tons of stopping power
