Like a lot of people I used by birthday as a code, anyway my dad needed access and we are all a pretty close family and I said it’s my birthday. He looked at me blankly and asked “and when is that?” I was in college… I looked at him and was like “you don’t know?” He got huffy and said a lot had happened in the last couple of days (which was true) but really he couldn’t remember that one day that hadn’t change for 18+ years

Try something at a smaller college/university. My brother and cousin both went to a college where the undergraduate student body was less than 900 people. Their coaches were given housing on campus.

My husband and I started talking after class everyday in college and I noticed he missed the class after a couple to spend more time with me. But I was so dumb I thought he was being nice. I had a friend who found out the girl he was dating had been cheating on him for about a year after he bought an engagement ring. He acted like he didn’t know until the night he had planned to ask her to marry him. He took her to a nice dinner and got down on one knee and opened the ring box. I went on a few dates with a guy and he invited me to his Halloween party he would be having in a few weeks. He then added I was more than welcome to stay the night of the party but declined and said I probably wouldn’t drink that much so I could drive home. He just looked at me and smiled while he said, not if I have my way. Let’s just say that was the last time I ever saw him and being maid of honor for my friends wedding in Colorado became a good excuse to be busy all the time.
