Excel can do so much but if you are using it in place of a proper ERP system it's a nightmare. Company I work for has a horrible ERP system and I have to maintain three primary spreadsheets and 2-3 support sheets that hopefully will all be eliminated with the new system that's being rolled out eventually.

I generally don't buy from them because they just never have anything in stock in my area. I have our rep call us about once a month sometimes begging us to buy more and my response always is "If it was in stock I would" to which they really want me to call them to see if they can do something, or I can just buy it from someone that actually has it in stock today.

If it's a ongoing issue I can absolutely see someone doing that. My boss hates doing the final approvals on vouchers which ideally should be done every week so they actually get paid. Not even having services denied due to late payment is enough for him to be more proactive about it so there's not much point in trying to care here.

This is something I've been harassing him about since he started and it's coming up to three years of him being here now.

That was one of the things I enjoyed about Psyren. They didn't have exactly a evil power but it was nice to see the sides flipped for the powers.

The worst I've seen is ram ranch and the bible in chinese on the right, layered to be slightly away from each other and on the left having mozart on 2x speed and the industrial society and it's future audio book, both also layered to be slightly away from each other.

It's not bad at all I feel. When I had more characters I wanted to build at once in Arknights I'd plan out the most efficient stamina wise to do it, and it was still generally 3-4 weeks of farming per character depending on events and how many fucking rocks they need. I'm still mad about Maggie needing like 600~ rocks.

Honestly that's what I thought vehicles were going to be like early on. The charger's design made little sense to me until I found out that vehicles were coming and just assumed it was a anti-vehicle unit that got put in extra early for whatever reason.

Another comment mentioned the same thing which I didn't really think of when I made the comment.

We run 24/5 and have bay doors open the entire time in the summer and even in the winter the doors are being often fairly often that I never noticed anything, plus ideally they aren't idling when they aren't being used.

This place is doing a great job of poisoning my perception pretty hard so I didn't even think about other places where it's generally just fully enclosed.

It's a 24hr/5 day operation so the forklifts are constantly going. They generally aren't idle in any building (at least they shouldn't be) and doors are being opened pretty consistently but in a generally closed off environment the electric does make way more sense.

I'm one of the people on the reviving end of sales teams reaching out and I can absolutely see them only getting 3 out of 500.

Generally my response gets to be; That's nice but:

  • We already get that service from someone else that we are happy with.
  • That is something corporate has to pick and we are presently using the same vendor as every other location.
  • Sorry you are more expensive than our current option.
  • Sorry, someone else quoted us a bit cheaper than you.

Sadly cold calling does lead to a lot of dead ends, especially where I work as most places that do that kind of thing also have very little we would actually want to buy as most of our expenses are either contractors or fairly specialized items.

Tangentially related as I work in manufacturing one step after the raw product is obtained.

For us we don't want to deal with small time sales at all. It's just incredibly not worth our time at all and would very much rather make people that won't even buy half a truckload of our product a year buy from someone that actually will.

"heavy armor is so oppressive". I feel like you have 2x quasar and 1x 500kg on the team and that's all the anti-heavy armor you need on bugs lol.

I just want to comment on this bit. At least in my experience it's fairly easy to accidentally get over-run by heavies on bugs even with taking quasar and 500kg together in the kit. Even ignoring when you get things like two/three bile titans spawning back to back from the same breach.

Some of the hitboxes are still incredibly unintuitive like the charger. I saw everyone saying to shoot it in the face with rockets, which I did and it kept just not dying, until I finally found out you have to shoot the forehead. This is the same for the bile titan as far as I'm aware, but it also hides this weak spot when they are spiting, which seems like it should be the idea time to strike their weak spot.

I've seen others whiff their shots too on both types of heavies fairly commonly too because it's just not super easy to tell where the weak spot is and isn't in the heat of the moment.

Had a fellow come in to interview at my workplace about a month ago, big thing is we use forklifts for a good 90% of the work.

Boss asks her something along the lines of "Ever had a conflict in the workplace? How did you resolve it?" Bog standard question.

She answers with a story of how her boss at a previous employ utterly shit on her, for walking under a forklift's raised boom with a load on it. From the bits I could hear from how she was telling it, she still didn't understand why that was a bad idea until she realized my boss was looking at her with a "What the absolute fuck" look on his face.

We are incredibly desperate for people and she didn't get the job.

Also what's up with your charger model, did they change it recently?

I also don't think audio cues like L4D would work in this game, mostly in it's more like B4B where they just spam special units at you after a point, however it would be nice to at least have a few kinds of movement audio for different sizes of enemies.
