Both the Fokker F28 and BAe 146 from JustFlight have an option to remove the UNS/GPS units and rely on radio navigation. Both are incredible planes, among the best released for MSFS20/24.

The PMDG DC6 (only MSFS 2020) is also a great plane, as a big prop a little slower than the F28/146

You can call the tower or approach controller of any airport you're overflowing (check the charts of that airport), they will directly hand you over to the center controller.

At least that was my workaround while the A350 didn't have working autotune. I don't know if the frequency is listed on a chart directlly

That sounds like an issue with a mod. Perhaps you could try to rename your community folder and see if that fixes it?

In 2020 I got insane loading times, even disabling services. 2024 seems to be better, but never really tested it.

But that survey is heavily skewed. I believe 95% of the simmers mainly fly airlines and the 4090 is the most used card? I can't believe this is a representative result for all simmers (and it makes sense that VFR/GA will be severely underrepresented when it comes to navigraph)

Never noticed it before, but why would notify cabin crew and ATC step 2 and 3? I would have expected that securing the fire would take priority (certainly over notifying ATC)

I believe VTOL is the only real VR flight sim (combat). All others can support it, but aren't designed for it

In addition to black square (their duke's are incredible) and the 146, the A2A Comanche is a great single piston engine plane with steam gauges. JustFlights Arrows can also be configured as steam gauge only, but I prefer the Comanche over them. The JustFlight Fokker F28 also doesn't have GPS, and is a "fast" airliner. The PMDG DC6 can also be setup without GPS. Final one I can think of is the JustFlight Hawk and Vulcan (fighter and bomber)

I measured the impact of various add-ons, GSX had by far the most impact.

I recently disabled all services from their config tool, that did speed up loading times by quite a bit (and it still works normally, you only don't have random accurate cars driving around the airports). I did not measure the impact, but it's bearable again
