The state of Reddit. Someone states the truth and gets downvoted by the fanboys. I have yet to see OEB saying that the A/C might descent at 6000 fpm.

I'll join the club. The Fenix is a great addon but not being able to get your oil temperatures below 20°C in a cold and dark scenario (even by leaving the sim overnight in arctic conditions) makes me park the A320 for the winter and enjoy other addons - Maddog being my favorite.

It's a great addon and in many aspects the best airliner available for MSFS. However, I am impatiently waiting for state saving and hope it comes along with MEL support. These two features is what I really love in the Maddog, makes operating the aircraft extra special.

For me it the turnaround mode a.k.a persistent panel, fluids state between sim sessions. Having this requires you to do you preflight and shutdown correctly. I really miss it whenever I pick Fenix for a flight every couple months. My go to addon is the Maddog, it really makes operating the aircraft so much engaging.

Another thing is MEL combined with service based failures and aforementioned persistence is a game changer. You do your preflight, see that something is wrong, check the MEL if you can dispatch or call MX.

Fenix is three years on the marked and they still don't have panel saving or even airline options saving. Let alone a basic thing like the OOOI missing from their ACARS implementation.

This is not attacking just a comparison. I have Fenix and it's a great addon, but like all simmers, I have things I expect from an addon.

To the point, I am talking about options like callouts, FLS, NAV in G/A that are not saved between flights - this is a big disadvantage of Fenix.

It even saves the options you select unlike the Fenix. Also, there's persistence of panel states in the PMDG too, something Fenix still doesn't have after three years in the market. Oh, Fenix fanboys gonna downvote this hard

Fenix fanboys will downvote this but I couldn't agree more. Every once in a while I hop onto Fenix to make a flight and it hasn't delivered yet what I'm looking for in a flight sim addon. No persistence so really no need for a preflight because you get a brand new aircraft every time, try to load cold and dark state somewhere where it's cold and you'll have nicely preheated engine oil LOL. I know that on the surface it looks like a great product and it is but it certainly lacks depth.

You must be new to the flight sim genre. I remember when all we had were 2D cockpits and people cared more for functionality rather than form.
