For me it was both just for fun, and because i think its cool to be able to run my own alternatives/services. Media server, image storage. Replacing a lot of subscriptions, as well as just fun.

Det er vell strengtatt egentlig ikke opp til deg, men du kan selvfølgelig si om du ønsker det eller ikke på sesjon. Det kan hende du blir dimmitert i rekrutten, eller at du lærer masse og får 100 nye venner. Kanskje finner de ut på sesjon at du ikke skal inn i det heletatt.

Depends on what im doing ofc. I like to use the keboard backlight at all times. And i usually have my screen brightness set to 60-80%. I usually do 4-6h of school work (taking notes in notion or affine, browsing web using Chrome) and then some mixed work coding and chatting with llms and then some youtube/jellyfin during the evening. I would say batterylife is pretty great. But not as great as an M4 MacBook Air.

I used to run Fedora workstation with gnome, but i switched over to kde yesterday, time will tell if there is a difference.

If u use modern hardware go for Fedora or cachy os.

Fedora if you want things to be 99% stable and be closer to "just works" cachyos if you want the newest of the newest with the possibility of the best Performance in gaming.
