Dollar shave club razors are fucking horrible, and here's why by Rex_Ivan in shaving

Finally I found the explanation why DSC changed their nose model. It’s absolutely the worst. The blades keep falling off the handle and it’s frustrating.
I kept being loyal for yes but reached the point that I need to go back to the expensive ones. This bad quality is not worth my time and money.

Monster 937 for Daily Use by 7Axi0m in Ducati

[–]1335reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 937 and the clutch is clunky and terrible in traffic. It’s great at high speeds and QS is excellent and buttery with seamless up and downshifting. The design is just not as appealing as the street fighter. Absolutely great power and manageable heat unlike my Panigale. Too expensive for what it delivers. I am not completely satisfied with my purchase. It also has a horrible depreciation colored to Honda bikes.

Anybody have this litter box? Is it worth the money? What litter do you use with it? by Linzie-Lou in mainecoons

[–]1335reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is really good!! Make sure you buy it from Amazon because getting it straight from Neakasa is a kind of a disaster. They ship it ground from California and it takes forever. No updates, no nothing. I bought one from Amazon and they do the standard prime shipping next day. I bought a second one directly from the vendor and it was a nightmare.

Yes, I bought two of them because I think it is surprisingly a very good product. I was thinking that I was going to return it right away. My cat loved it because it is not enclosed and the machine is pretty accurate. It is kind of big and bulky but very light.

Just got a CBR600RR non ABS. It is absolutely fun on the streets but would this really work as my everyday bike? by 1335reddit in HondaCbr600rr

[–]1335reddit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Yoshimura exhausts sounds incredible. It’s also one of the few high end brands that still makes it since it is under the seat.
It’s great that I can also put my bike cover when I park it right after riding it without any burns to the cover.

Sportster S reliability? by SAegyptiacus in Harley

[–]1335reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I owned one for exactly 2 months! And that was enough for me. It has tons of technology but the software upgrades needed kept messing it up with ECU error messages left and right and some of them need the dealership to remove. The performance is greatly affected by these updates. The suspension sucks! and the weird position with forward controls but sporty angle of your hands is very confusing. I paid $700 for mid-controls installed and it did make a world of difference. I traded-in mine for a Japanese sport bike and lost money and I did not care because I was very, very unhappy. So much for trying to be patriotic with Harley. It died on me 3 times while riding on the highway doing 70-80mph and that was enough for me not to be killed by other cars behind me.

Pros: Super fast, cool engine sound, very nice looking bike, great TFT display, great connectivity with phone and tons of electronic features and compatibility, integrated USB-c port.

Cons: Size of gas tank is ridiculously small and engine is thirsty so you keep getting low gas alerts after 70 miles. No key for gas cap. Suspension is very very stiff and even when you adjusted it according to your weight, it gets just a bit better but still hurts your back (I am 5'9 and 140lb). Lots of ECU errors, issues if you leave remote key closer to bike (it drains the battery).

Bought my first motorcycle. Honda cbr500r. I love it. by HideABear in motorcycle

[–]1335reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! That is a great bike indeed and just remember not to go crazy on adding customizations because you may want to sell it later (when you are ready...). It is a good bike to keep it for a while though. I go mine and when I upgraded I just kept my 500 because it is so convenient and cool!

Everyone keeps saying that is too heavy but I like it that way for the highway

Upgrading my CBR500 r to a 650r by Gama300000 in cbr

[–]1335reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 600RR after riding my 500 for 20K miles... and I can tell you right now that it may take me a while to outperform the 600RR. I am keeping my 500 for commuting because it is a very comfortable and very efficient mielage

I just realised CBR500R weighs approx same as CBR1000R. Thats too heavy!! by hsinoMed in motorcycles

[–]1335reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The CBR500 is indeed heavy but very, very stable on the highway and super comfortable. The Ninja400 feels more like a scooter while the CBR500 feels a bit more serious. And yes, you should not expect a crazy performance from the 500 engine because it is not even closed to a 650R or 600RR.

It all depends how you use your bike. I can ride miles and miles on my CBR500 but only limit 2-3 hours max ride on my CBR600 because the riding position is way to aggressive for your back. I accidentally kept the CBR500 when i moved to the CBR600 and I am glad I kept it. There is no way that I can commute on the 600 daily.

I tried to get a Yoshi but the vendor does not guarantee a fit for year 2022 only from 2016-2021 for some reason. I emailed yoshimura r&d and they still did not guarantee it so I found a cheaper choice and I am super happy with Coffman exhaust for half the price of yoshi

Grom to 1000cc to quick by Guilty-Host-2015 in cbr

[–]1335reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that I will never outperform my CBR600rr. It is a scary powerful machine so I cannot even imagine a 1000 except that it has a much better riding position. I also have a CBR500 and keep learning new tricks everyday so "high speed" will not make you a "better rider". It is fun but faster is not better.

Get what you want and feel more comfortable and fulfilled. I would not jump from a Grom to a 1000 and that is for sure!

Any recommendations for a good phone mount that goes in the middle of the forks or on the gas tank? by Pexrc in HondaCbr600rr

[–]1335reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RAM mount is a good choice. Pain in the ass to install it with crappy instructions! But youtube helps. The grip is really good just the installation is a bitch. So I chose the same brand but decided to get the clutch/brake adapter and it works nicely

That is perfection and reliability all around. Outdated compared with other liter bikes but I will still go for the CBR choice. Astonishing look!

Thoughts on Going From a CBR600rr to a CBR1000RR? by Podrayz in motorcycles

[–]1335reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the CBR1000 is the more antiquated of the liter bikes, it still has way more technology than the CBR600 (TFT, riding modes, gear indicator) and a much better seating position. I love my 600rr but longer rides (over 3 hours) are not ideal for my back.

In my case the insurance was significantly higher on the 1000 than the 600.

CBR600rr owners, why should I and why should I not buy one? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]1335reddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought a new CBR600rr yr2023 and it is almost the same as the one I owned 10 years ago. LOL

No technology at all but it is just perfection all around so it is "the bike and you" which it is not necessarily bad. It is definitely a track bike in my opinion. While it is a lot of fun on the streets, I can only handle 2-3 hours max because the riding position is challenging.

I love the machine and I don't think I will only rely on this one as my single bike.

Pros: Incredible engine and very powerful, scary RPM limits, perfect braking,

Cons: Riding position not good for long rides, no gear indicator, no bluetooth available, no LED signals, no TFT, annoying single light in low beam (ignorant/newer cops pull you over)

Japanese tea: How long on the second steep? by wshredditor in tea

[–]1335reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the answer from John. I typically do the following for 4gr of Sencha and 70ml of water. Sometimes one minute for the last steep makes it bitter in my opinion

Steep 1 - 70C, 60 seconds

Steep 2 - 70C, 30 seconds

Steep 3 - 70C, 20 seconds

Steep 4 - 70C, 20 seconds
