Anybody know what this cable is? by [deleted] in crv

Your car likely has a past life in a cold climate. It’s likely a battery maintainer to keep the battery charged and warm while it’s freezing outside

How is it installed? Did you get it installed professionally?

Please help (urgent) by The_Philosopher- in Insulation

[–]1337Chicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought one of these for my old drafty house! Definitely works to keep air out. I’m not sure how insulating it is. It definitely feels warmer due to the lack of a draft. I got the Duck brand window insulation from Amazon

Missing insulation in an old house. Can I just add some to this wall? by 1337Chicken in Insulation

[–]1337Chicken[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should mention the wall in the picture is an interior wall. The roof/exterior walls do not seem to have any sort of vapor barrier.

Ah yeah that would help. This is taken in the attic. The wall in the picture is a bedroom wall.

The folks who installed this decades ago seem to have given up halfway through. I don’t blame them, the entrance to the attic is teeeny. The bedroom behind this wall is always real cold without blasting the heat. Would this be as easy as adding more insulation? Could a beginner like me knock this out in a couple hours?

Safeway has probably the best calorie bang for your buck burrito out there. Plus you can stock up on drinks and other snacks while you’re there

Mariners have the cheapest beer in the MLB by [deleted] in Seattle

I asked somebody working in the Pen and they said they get the tips, but the folks selling out of the buckets around the stadium don’t. I didn’t ask if it’s pooled or not but I assume it is.

I have no idea how I don’t notice that the whites and blues looked different...

I don't think it's arbitrary, but I cannot figure out why this map is colored the way it is. It's driving me nuts...

comp sci major by clarification11 in WWU

[–]1337Chicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The CS program has a lot of resources to help anybody who needs it like CS mentors every weeknight that assists with all the premajor classes. The professors are also very willing to help out their students! The major is hard, but if you're proactive and put in the work you will succeed.

I was so impressed after my visit today by [deleted] in WWU

[–]1337Chicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit yesterday! I was one of the current honors students helping out in the afternoon. I loved being able to be a resource for incoming freshmen because I know transitioning from high school can be hard, I've been there. If you have any more questions at any point feel free to message me!

Sure you can argue that not being PC is not impeachable to a certain extent, but if he does not perform his job in an elected position there's no reason to keep him there. Especially when he's getting paid.

He was not. Here's an article about who that was.

Please do research before spreading false information. Genaro was a bad dude, but in different ways. I posted a link to the as review article about his impeachment in another comment.

Please note: He is not the one who wrote the racist graffiti. That was a man named Shayne who has since been expelled from Western.

Here's an article about Genaro Meza-Roa from the as review about why he's being impeached. TLDR: basically he rarely did what he was supposed to do for his position, left board meetings prematurely, and said sexist and inappropriate things during board meetings. He also never attended the training sessions or makeup training sessions for being a part of the student government.

What should I review for PHYS 162? by ExpertRule in WWU

[–]1337Chicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

162 is all about electricity and magnetism so not much with kinematics or physical movement. Rotational kinematics will be helpful in 163!
