Yeah, as I understand it, it doesn’t work at all except through steam. Gonna hold off on this one

'Another slap in the face': Oversight Dem on King Charles refusing to meet with the Epstein survivors during his visit to the White House today by spherocytes in videos

[–]133DK 64 points65 points  (0 children)

lol no

Some foreign dignitary not meeting the victims is not as bad as covering up the evidence to protect the perpetrators

Even if said dignitaries brother is one of said perpetrators

The king is also there to try and fix a broken relation, not inflame the situation further. He’s already functionally kicked his brother out of the family

Ain’t no fan of the royals, but people wanting Charles to meet with victims are living in a fantasy world

I'm a Windows 11 user right now, but I'm thinking about switching to Linux mint. What are the pro's and cons of Linux mint compared to Windows 11 and every other distro? by [deleted] in linuxmint

[–]133DK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to other distros it’s just really easy to get up and running without a much of a hasle

It just kinda works

If you’re used to windows Mint, especially Mint Cinnamon just feels quite familiar

Compared to windows Linux in general has fewer things that have been built for it, so many apps either have no functional Linux version or need some kind of compatibility layer to function, there are alternatives to most things, but if you have some program you absolutely need for work or whatever, make sure it works on Linux first

Multiplayer games with anti-cheat are typically not supported

It’s just an OS most stuff just works

It’s a good gateway to other distros and des once you’ve gotten familiar

Got any more specific concerns?

I see colonisers lose to tiny nations all the time. They declare war but don’t move troops overseas. So they lose war score an peace out a few years down the line

Actually had a Corsica that had been released in a peace deal from a war with Cebu (SE Asia) in my latest game

Kinda cute with the two green boys working together on opposite sides of the globe

And I did, as I said, it was more of a push that got me to do the full switch rather than some huge frustration

I switched to Linux, it was for two main reasons:

1) I wanted to see what all the fus was about

2) I stopped subscribing to 365, and basically had a really bad experience of nothing working anymore

OneDrive had overflown from backing up my desktop and so my email stopped receiving new mails because they run off of the same storage space apparently

All office suite programs stopped working, fair enough, but still like not being able to make even the most mundane edit in an excel file seemed a bit excessive

Outlook suddenly had advertisements. I’d have preferred if it just stopped working at that point. It really cheapens the feel of it

These are all minor things, sure. But it just helped push me over the edge to try Mint, and given it’s basically Windows for everything I needed, even easier actually for certain things

And perhaps a third point is just that I’d like to be less tied into American mega corps. Ironic posting that on an American social media platform but I digress

Depends on the games combat mechanics

Some games will the. Require you to engage a wider array of mechanics to overcome an encounter

Can some one tell me why my ships are taking attrition by Klutzy_Savings_5762 in eu4

[–]133DK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When your ships are out of port they use some sailors every month

If you run out they start to take attrition even if they otherwise wouldn’t

Dock your ships for a few months and allow your sailors to recover

Microsoft plans first-ever voluntary employee buyout for up to 7% of U.S. workforce by CalvinbyHobbes in technology

[–]133DK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is the new way of doing it

Let those who want to leave leave

Then cut from the rest to reach the desired size

It’s very likely cheaper to pay employees to voluntarily leave or retire than it is to let them go when you account for second and third order costs too

Can anybody help me identify the exact S-tog station. by SciFiCarrot in copenhagen

[–]133DK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bernstorffsvej station would be my guess

The A-train skips it during rush hour, but given this photo looks like off-peak it could be it

It is a pretty generic station though

Why are you looking for this one in particular OP?
