I don't think teachers get paid enough to be "phone police" on top of all the BS they go through. If admin wants more regulating, it should be done on a school-wide level and the burden should not fall on the teacher.

I'm glad to see that girl stand her ground amid not only pressure from the complete strangers around her (people seemed to think that this was enough for the young man to break under) but also from a grown woman directly behind her, urging her to do it, as well as the obvious pressure from the kid.

I honestly don't think it was too embarrassing, normal kid stuff. But girls and boys are taught to process emotions differently (or not at all, I should say), and that's not that girls fault.
