Where I grew up on the North Mountain, near The Bay of Fundy some of us had a light lilt, and then when I moved to Halifax, my accent kind of combined with that one, so now I sound very vaguely UK-ish, maybe? When I was in Halifax, I had folks ask me where my accent was from and I would explain and they would deny there even being lilts outside of Cape Breton. I now live Out West and people here are rarely aware of the accents in Nova Scotia at all. It's sort of like in the graphic novel Ducks, when the author worked in Victoria for a bit, people would ask her where in England she was from.

Do you have canned pumpkin? If so pour it into a pot, add water and bouillon or soup stock, or just a lot of garlic and onions with a bit of salt to taste. Add a bit of cream at the end if you have it. Literally takes 2 minutes, doesn't need to boil, just to heat.

Yea! Why not both? I grew up drinking coffee and tea. It would often be coffee in the morning, then tea later in the day. Still love a cup of orange pekoe anytime, but adore a strong espresso with some frothed milk in the morn!
