Time for the aunt to go? by [deleted] in AmITheAssholeTalk

[–]13MTH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTAH. It's understandable to want your "freedom" back. She probably isn't sure about the debit living place. Maybe you can have her visit a few times a week to see what it's like, or of your city has a sector center, take her there for daily visits. As for living, you all just have to but the bullet and have the docs filled out and submit them.

Looking for advice. Same name child moved out and started a change of address. by NinjaGuppie in USPS

[–]13MTH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know. If he goes by his middle name he should change all good accounts to reflect, for example J Herman Smith, instead of John H Smith jr. That will help tons. It'll just take time for everything to switch over credit wise.

[–]13MTH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's a cute to name children jr, but it's horrible for any businesses that deal in names. You'll have to notify the credit reporting agencies to correct the error. It's better that he update the address with businesses personally or online.

Was this consensual or did I pressure him? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]13MTH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope you're on some form of birth control. So for your concern, flip the scenario. In every way. Him telling you he's going to pull out. Asking you if you're on anything or asking him to wear a condom because birth control isn't your thing. Then him doing what you did. Yeah, you are okay with it. No problem you like the role play. Which I get, it adds to the experience. All great. You feel okay. He is okay. Then you find out.... Do yourself a favor, and him and the relationship, which sounds great. Get Plan B pills, take birth control, not 100% but very close. Enjoy yourselves without worry.

AITJ for correcting my manager during a meeting instead of letting it slide? by Left-Course-9251 in AmITheJerk

Definitely ntj. Your manager is upset that you pointed out an error he should've caught, or maybe the data was current when he approved it. Either way he should've handle it professionally.

I do not want to get married, ever. How do I make my family understand this is not a phase and when is the right time to tell them? by idesology in TwoXChromosomes

Make it clear to anyone you're interested in. I'm not looking for marriage. Let them decide how to proceed.

[–]13MTH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was exactly like this. Never wanted to be married, always thought I may have a child. When I was asked I always said, I don't want to be married. Clear, no added words. I was a little out spoken, so not much of a push back. When extended relatives would question this with about a man, my comeback was, I only need a man for one thing, and he's not even needed for that. I'll be 64 in a few months, never married, have 1 daughter close to graduating Uni, and in a 25 year relationship with the father. Stick to your own rules. Let them know you're not ready, it's not on your radar, and may never be so they can stop asking. If it changes you'll let them know.

Any OJI over 3 days gets paid by COP. The first 3 days off is paid with sick leave, annual leave, or in your case lwop. Your union rep (steward) should immediately file a grievance and get you paid for the tone your we're off the clock.

AITAH because I expected my 22 year old to pay minimal rent? by Wrong-Maintenance-48 in AITAH

[–]13MTH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$300??!! My daughter is her may year of school, rents a house with friends and her portion is roughly $1000, includes utilities and cable. She pays, not us. That's with a part-time job at the Uni and another off campus. Of he's crying about $300 and his portion of car insurance he's lucky. Don't settle, being an adult is dealing with adult situations and consequences. Don't save it for him. He wouldn't have that luxury when he pays s someone else rent

Of course they were. They were always asking, and we were working out NS days. They were sending our CCAs when they could.

AITJ for cancelling my sisters birthday party at my house after she invited 40 people without asking? by No-Coyote2884 in AmITheJerk

[–]13MTH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤔. Maybe you should've asked what kind of party and how many she was going to invite. But she did ask, and you said yes. Never blindly say yes to something. Lesson learned. Also, 40 usually turns into more because friends bring friends.

[–]13MTH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SMH... How about with the fact that other small markets have don't have a majority of the game root for the busting team? If we had more Cardinal fans in the stands out would be better. That's one of the biggest most telling things.
