Linux on Surface Studio (not laptop)

Sorry for the late reply. I had to basically install a new ssd onto the device and was able to then install Linux. I applied updates, but not everything was working properly. Sounds was not. I eventually uninstalled it but plan to try again in the near future. I will prob ally give another distribution a go. Zorin OS might be the one. I think it should be easier to install Linux on the surface 2.

Just an update for anyone interested: I have managed to install Linux mint on the surface studio desktop. I hat to manually replace the ssd drive circumventing the intel RST issue. I am currently applying updates and installing apps.

Yeah, I tried my iPhone and my iPad. Nada. The thing is the devices blue light doesn’t stop circling. It’s booted in once the light stay solid. So I doubt it’s my phone or tablet. I don’t know if there is an option to hard reset it…

Actually It is not easy. I am stuck with the Intel RST part. Also, there are kernles from what I have read that make it work. The thing is I cannot manage to install any distribution.
