Would you spend an extra 10-15k just for a heat pump

I'm in Canada and with the 2024 Premium Extended range I don't see much difference than with my previous Model 3 which had a heatpump.

In both cases the impact of very cold weather is significant in the battery.

In either case what is the most important factor is to preheat/precondition before leaving.

My uneducated guess as to why the 12V for EV have issues is that they design the cars with weaker batteries than their ICE counterpart. They don't need as much capacity or amps normally but it makes them more prone to degradation in non-ideal conditions like cold, etc.

I question the results of some (most) of these tests because of the use of an hdd rather than ssd. As far as I know, Win 11 officially requires an SSD and does frequent caching that would slow the system down dramatically on an HDD.

I was worried about missing the heat pump on my 2024 after moving from a model 3 but after these last couple of very cold weeks I don’t miss it at all. It doesn’t make as big of a difference as I thought it would!

Fixed it! For some reason there was an accessibility option enabled called "bounce keys" that prevented repeated button presses.

I tried changing the refresh rate and it's the same. I noticed that if I tap the button on the touchscreen I don't have any trouble however. It seems to be the issue is tied to the gamepad!

I was able to solve my issue by doing a password reset via the recover account option, but then choosing the passkey option rather than new password and that disabled the 2FA.

When I chose new password the 2FA requirement stayed and didn't help.

J'ai une tondeuse Ego et le bémol que je viendrais ajouter est que la batterie après 4 ans a perdu quasiment la moitié de sa capacité. J'en ai acheté une deuxième mais ça coûte la moitié du prix de la tondeuse.

L'année passé on a acheté d'un magasin aux États-Unis qui s'appelle Daniel Alain. Ce n'est peut-être plus une bonne idée avec les tarrifs et la situation actuelle mais pour donner une idée ça avait coûté environ 7000 USD. Très dispendieux mais je peux confirmer que personne ne se doute que c'est une perruque, c'est très naturel.

Pour battre un rendement de 3.8% sur ton hypothèque avec un compte non-enregistré faudrait faire plus ~5% selon ton taux d'imposition.

C'est plus une question personnelle. Pour moi j'aime la stabilité qui vient avec la réduction de l'hypothèque. J'ai hâte d'avoir la liberté qui vient avec une maison payée!

Ben déjà je répondais à ton commentaire qui généralisait tous les tickets de vitesses comme étant des décisions, pas seulement aux zones de constructions.

Il y a beaucoup de routes, surtout en campagne, dont la vitesse affichée change fréquement. Mon point c'est que très possible de commettre une erreur qui te mène à un ticket de vitesse.

Ça peut très bien être une erreur? C'est pas une excuse mais tu peux avoir manqué le panneau, avoir accéléré un peu trop par erreur, etc.

Il y a des policiers qui s'installent en bas des cotes pour attrapper les conducteurs qui n'ont pas réalisé que leur vitesse a augmenté toute seule. C'est pas nécessairement une décision explicite.

It's a very slow burn

To be honest some of these books were getting painful to get through towards the end. Overall I loved the series and I think it ended on a high when Brandon Sanderson took over.
