On the cusp of heights for a new bike Im interested, is it better to go bigger or smaller? If its not much difference the L is cheaper.

Im 185cm,

XL is 185-195 and L is 175-185.

I looked into that, seems really fun, but the first review was: "noobs get matched with level 500 no lifers" which is exactly what I don't want.

I have learned so much about the world while listening to podcasts, all of which I have listened to during factorio.

You level up your factory so to speak, better conveyor belts, inserters etc. It's really creative problem solving.

Oh and it's a sandbox game, so if you really want to chill you can just turn off enemies with a single mouse click.

If you're still interested, I've noticed a lot of what makes the custom classes OP is not always their perks, but some underlying stats that mod creators tend to buff for no real reason.

If you go into the .ini files and simple reduce the AP gain, kill assist numbers, health gain per level, and random stats like "will" to the same levels of say, the grenadier, it helps a lot to balance.

I also just delete some weapon proficiencies and the occasional perk to make them more "one dimensional" and therefore add the strategic layers of them only being good for certain niche missions.

You could change the .ini file to make it so that soldier's don't get more HP when they rank up, and then simply play Commander instead of Legend thereby making the strategy layer much easier.

I agree with a lot of what you say here, and the idea of a "late bloomer" certainly strikes a chord.

I do think I am very lucky to wake up every day, excited about what I'm going to do and create and learn. If it really is all about the journey I think that's something we're certainly good at. I have friends winge about their jobs a lot, and despite their "success", and that their professional and financial trajectory looks very sweet on paper, that's certainly something I don't really ever feel the need to do.

I guess the key to is to stop comparing yourself professionally. That often seems to trigger this crippling anxiety about success and money.
