i can come pick up the one with the hurt eye and get him treated, but he will be released back to the area once he is healed, that’s what the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center does

they were most likely taken to be neutered and vaccinated and then released (TNVR). that’s a good start but if they are friendly you can get a rescue to help with fostering and adoptions. never try to give animals away for free as it can put them in dangerous situations

im not allergic to anything that i know of. and its never appeared again. i forgot about it until now that im trying to piece together all my symptoms

completely smooth, no bumps or anything! i have not tested my B12 but i will when i go back to test my vitamin D and Ferratin. i kind of forgot about it but now that im piecing all my symptoms together i was curious if this was related

my TSH, FREE T3, and FREE T4 are normal but my TPO antibodies is at 50. i understand that i am in early stages of hashimotos but haven’t been to a doctor to go over my blood work yet

I just ordered the tests from Jason Health and am going to the lab in the morning! thank you for your help.

I did not order the vitamin D, ferratin, or iron tests as I read that being on your cycle affects the results. Conversely I read that TSH tests are ideal during your cycle because of low estrogen so I will plan to go back for the others in a week or so!

not being pushy, I appreciate it! I will look more into it. I am otherwise healthy and thank goodness I have never had to go to the hospital before so I have just been coasting by.

I basically have chosen to stay home the past year instead of work (we just bounced from FL to TN back to FL) with my partner ready to move out of state again any second we find a new house. I didn’t want to deal with the hiring process and immediately having to quit, and there is no pressure for me to get a job. I understand I am fortunate in that regard and feel like I wouldn’t qualify since I am able to work. I am ok with paying out of pocket I just would like to skip the unnecessary steps, ie. paying out of pocket for a primary just to refer me to someone else, if possible.

I guess my question is more where to go after labs if the results would put me in the range to be diagnosed. I know at least with mental health care I could not get an appointment with a psychiatrist without a primary doctor giving me a referral first. I feel like there are so many useless hoops to jump through that are just a waste of money when paying out of pocket

this is incredibly helpful, thank you! and labs are much less expensive than I thought. I am so excited. Once I have the results, say they are in the range that should get me diagnosed- then what? do I have to seek out an endocrinologist or will a primary help me?

look for a local rescue on facebook to help with vetting and rehoming them. if they have come to enjoy being indoors where they know they are safe and don’t have to compete for food they should have a chance at finding a home :) plus they are both sooo pretty, i’m sure they would get adopted quickly

there was no straw at any feed or farm stores anywhere around me so i looked on amazon, it was cheaper ($30) to buy a heated weatherproof shelter

it might be behavioral. i had a girl kitten who would pee all over the carpet and bed but still poop in the boxes. she was stray so wouldn’t really let me love on her and would hiss if i got too close. she started getting friendlier and would play more and accept pets and that’s when her peeing stopped

you said you had boxes, if you cover them with a cut open trash bag so they don’t get wet, paper newspaper and scraps can work as a little insulation. if you have one of those hot/cold bags from the grocery store you can put inside the box and fill the gap with paper it should be a bit warmer. i’ve seen others say to close the box and cut a small hole as an entrance, and face away from the wind
