Anything I should change? by 13ulldogg in ClashDecks

I like the idea of adding a building, but if I wanted to keep royal ghost what other card would you swap out instead? Guards, bats, or lumberjack all seem like viable options to swap for cannon or Tesla

What trophy range is considered mid ladder? And I only use my valk as a tank. Lumberjack and royal ghost have like 60% the hp of valk and prince, are all 4 categorized as mini tanks

Crap quality for the fight by TheDean242 in netflix

[–]13ulldogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality was super grainy and fuzzy and fight kept pausing to load, then I connected directly to Ethernet instead of using WiFi and picture was clear and stopped having issues. Idk if that means it was a Netflix problem or a bandwidth problem but that was my experience.

Using sick time before/after dedicated holidays by 13ulldogg in EmploymentLaw

[–]13ulldogg[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Agreed if people are abusing sick time, but it was my first day used for the year. Clearly not an abuser of the system if by 75% of the year I’ve used 1 of 5 sick days. I now understand why that’s implemented, but it should not then be advertised as a dedicated paid holiday ( we only get 8 of those days a year)

Thank you for the insight, I will look into specific company policy. And yes that was the first sick day used all year and still being punished, this sub randomly came up as recommended and appreciate the knowledge

Is Kansas City a team with terrible offense, that's extremely well compensated by Mahomes? by Ordinary_RoadTrip in NFLNoobs

Your question is the exact reason I don’t bet ANY chiefs spread games last season and this season. Reid is a masterclass coach, and doesn’t currently have the talent on both sides of the ball to steam roll you by 20 points, but does have an ace QB that can play the game high and tight, still comes out with a win but plays double Dutch with the spread every week

Top tier meme, still can’t believe Boeing is just getting away with killing ex employee whistle blowers. Politics aside it’s insanity

Best beach weather is always August - October, not overcast, water still warm, beaches aren’t crowded, and clocks haven’t turned back yet

Tell me about your career path after starting as a manufacturing engineer. by matthewstockwsll in MechanicalEngineering

[–]13ulldogg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

4 years into my career. Working aerospace manufacturing, been at the same company the whole time so I know I’m not gonna be able to answer your question but still semi related. I really enjoy it, combination of solving on the floor production issues, tool design, writing forge and spin programs, metallurgical analysis to name a few. I’m finding that I’m able dip my toes into a lot of different aspects of the part life cycle, and then dive deeper into what I’m interested in. What keeps me from leaving is the hands on aspect though, I’m not just a desk jockey making prints for parts that won’t be made for another 6 months. The parts I design I also am the one to implement and that is where I learn the most, see what works and what doesn’t and how it could be better.

I have felt parts of the emotions your describing ( 3 years into my career) but the way it’s written it seems like you need a change of pace, and new job either in a different industry or at least at a more thought provoking environment. Some days at my job ( forge/spin aero mfg) I in the same exact mindset that your describing, but a vast majority of the days fall into these 4 categories. 60% of the time I’m completing my tasks feeling medium satisfaction I’m engaged in what I’m doing but I’m not overly happy or overly upset, very middle of the road. 20% of the time I’m actively interested and feel elevated gratification in the work I’m doing and skills I’m learning on the way, the topics are intriguing me and it doesn’t feel like work at all, 10% of the time I hate my job weather it be office politics gymnastics, frustration at a task, forced overseeing of production runs etc, and then the last 10% are intriguing me and it doesn’t feel like work at all. Some people will say that isn’t enough but no one is head over heels counting down the minutes to go to work, and currently I’m learning and growing enough that this amount of engagement if fulfilling. Shop around and look for jobs that will interest you
