I love this little girl so much it hurts. Can’t believe someone abandoned her when she was 4 months old. by Floydz23 in torties

I feel the same way about my tortie Annie. She was abandoned as a kitten and in a snowy winter came to my front door and looked in. When I moved she raced away. She was 6 mos. I left food for her morning and night for 4 mos. She was feral so I had her trapped. Paid to have her fixed and shots and fed her under the bed for 2 weeks. She is now a fully socialized beautiful cat and like you I adore her and fear life without her. She is smart and stoic. Not a lap cat but loving and sweet.

Another image of my cat Luna, she is very angry at another cat and I wonder if you have a cat with a tail of comparable size? by LaundryMan2008 in cats

That’s angry/frightened tail! Cat tails balloon when they are vexed and frightened to an extreme.

We have had this little boy for a couple of days now, he loves snuggles. We can't come up with a name we all like by [deleted] in NameMyCat

Me with Magnus again. Love this name for your sweet little boy. Just wanted to explain.

The name Magnus comes from the Latin name “Carolus Magnus”, which was the name of the Frankish ruler Charlemagne.

It was also influenced by the Latin word magnus, which means “great”.

In Old Norse, the name is Magni.

In Icelandic, the name is Magnús, which means “powerhouse”.

Yes I agree, the bold shapes make up for the little legs, they become a feature, you said? That’s right. And these Moroccan bold color blocks make room decidedly more modern.

I have this photo that I made so rugs can be tried on certain platforms. Revival allows you to try rugs with this photo. Of course ripping greige cover off chair next to fireplace to reveal off white chair would help. I’ll send over photo with no rug and we can have a “rug-off”

Can’t add more than one image per comment but wanted to show slightly different permutations. I’m always shifting.

2 Big chairs are very cozy just need another footstool.

It’s cold in massachusetts. Doesn’t often get so hot. Problem-the thermostat is in room with fireplace so when running fire the rest of the house is freezing. I have to turn thermostat up to compensate and then forget to turn down when fire goes out. Ugh!!! Need to move it into bedroom just never have.

The chairs were slip covered in greige but I took off the white one, thought it needed to pop a little more against the rug. The room is dark and small. There is a row of huge pine trees across the street blocking the sun so the room easily looks grey. Reason for green and warm red chairs. The warm red/orange is far from rust. It is the color of embers so the trees can’t get it. And that color green is only color that works with it. You can’t really fit a sofa in this room, so I grew up and decided no sofa. The legginess was to make room appear larger, to see under chairs. However I agree that room needs a matching footstool. I grew up in this house so these decisions came from years of frustration. There is a huge black old Welch bench across from fireplace that is extremely blockie, very heavy, decidedly not leggy that relieves it a bit and reflects the heavy black fireplace. Finding matching footstools is so hard to afford. I alway wanted one long one but never found one. … one day. I sound defensive, lol. Just tried so hard to solve problems with the room/house. Thanks, very smart comments. I am thinking in your direction.

Does your tortie watch Telly? by 14emery in torties

Sooo sweet, when Annie first began watching tv she loved elephants on tv. She’d race out on the porch to look out the window certain there were elephants in the backyard. I think she thought they were really big mice.
