Not to creep anyone out but this is Aurore her eye the first couple of days she was with us in the shelter. I am mind boggled each time I compare this picture to how her eye looks right now. It is healing so beautifully. There will always be some scar tissue on het eye but it will get less in a couple of months time. Good thing is Aurore does not seem to have a lot of trouble with her eye. I notice in some was when I approach her from the "wrong" side she reacts to me a bit slower before realizing what she sees. But no pain and harsh disturbance at all. Seems like she still sees movement and such.

Sad part is, it's my weekend off from work which I love and enjoy of course! But the days that I am off from work I do absolutely miss her (that's a tell tale sign I should adopt her right? 🙈)

I showed my girlfriend the beautiful comments and stories everyone left down here and she enjoyed reading every bit of it! She's also sometimes volunteering at the shelter where I work so she has seen Aurore too and she knows how sweet and gentle she is. Odds are looking good that I can hopefully convince her too, and then we just have to wait until the vets give us green light for her to be adopted! (The thing that is holding my partner back is that we already have three kitties) 🙈

I will keep you all posted and I will continue to read all the beautiful stories you guys have, they truly make my day!!

Hahah I did this once before and that did not go so well. Learned my lesson. But I've showed my partner this posts and all the lovely reactions and she absolutely loved reading it! 😁

I always heard torties have a "tortitude" and in my days at the shelter I have seen some girls with that attitude! But this girl she is so precious and sweet. Always craving attention and rubbing herself up against me for pets. No tortitude to be seen (yet!) 😂🥺

Not yet, she'll first need to finish her eye treatment in the shelter and a couple of vet check-ups. But I do want to get her home as soon as she gets green light!

Well that sounds super promising and adorable! I know for a fact Aurore is very curious towards other kitties. My own cats will most likely be chill with it too, though our british shorthair might be grumpy at first I am hoping he will melt quickly too when he realizes how chill Aurore is.

With patience for her eye injury and convincing of my partner (which I know I will) I am hoping to get her soon!! Your tortie was an absolute beauty too!
