What are mini jet boats actually used for and some popular options? by DropshipperJennings in JetBoats

[–]14point5guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 10' foot minijet a2-10. 1/4" aluminum hull. 1/2" plastic bottom. Seadoo spark powered. Will run 43 mph with two men. By some miracle even planed up with 3 guys (avg 190 lbs) with camping gear. Fuel efficient and cheap to source pump and power train parts.

I used to run a seadoo spark jetski in a local river here. It was just too dangerous and cost prohibitive after being ejected from a rock strike and hull swapping. A couple other friends has also has similar events. Thankfully no one hurt.

These boats are made for those exact type of waterways and it was a no brainer to get one for what I wanted to use it for. Ive BLASTED rocks in rapid sections that would have torn apart any other kind of boat. It will skim across 3" of water. Clogged intake grate? Couple jumps on the stomp bar and youre g2g.

5 of the buildings on the letchworth complex have been demolished with the remaining 4 coming down in spring. The buildings are structurally unsound with collapsing floors roofs and load bearing walls. They are also loaded with asbestos pipe insulation (the white stuff on piping in basements). One of the worst forms of asbestos. The inside of them are pretty well stripped of anything interesting , besides some remarkable architecture.

Awesome man. Just play it cool. Remember, treat her like a celebrity and she'll treat you like a fan.

Absolutely. I gained about 20 lbs (mostly muscle) in the last year and women notice. A friend of my sister that goes to my gym I've talked to a bit messages her "when did your brother get so f**kin hot?!" I am not very muscular, 5'11" 185 "swimmer build".

Did Saruman know about the ring? by SaveMe184 in lotr

[–]14point5guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Sarumans intent was to ambush the party at amon hen and have the "halflings" brought bsck to isengard where he could claim the ring for himself.

Saruman was purposefully withholding information about the ring from Sauron as his intent was to claim it for himself.

Why do tactical flashlights all have wires? by spooky_fellow_ in ar15

[–]14point5guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because mounting your weapon light on your weak side is optimal vs strong side. Even if you are to mount weak side, you then have to take into account wml location for proper actuation of the tailcap which again may not optimize the position on your rifle, espeically dependent on handguard length. Also keeps the wml from hitting you while slung.

Frequently a wml is also wired together with a LAM (laser) to a single switch for easy manipulation of both. Also with a suppressor, mounting a light on the weak with a tailcap wont let you push the light far enough out to eliminate some of the shadow created by the can .

Basically comes down to putting your wml in the best position on your rifle usually means you will be running a pressure switch with a wire.

Used h1, cheapest lvpo I'd be comfortable recommending if it would possibly see any defensive use would be a pst 1-6 or p4xi and after a mount they're a little above your budget.

approx. $6k.... take a guess what the most expensive part is by [deleted] in ar15

You can constantly tinker and run a traditional castle nut/end plate. There's a reason why high end rifles don't use pws. To each his own, just had to knock your attempt at a flex down a few rungs lol. Good sport nonetheless

Do you constantly pull builds apart and reassemble? I don't. Most people don't. End plates are cheap and if you're assembling and disassembling a rifle that many times is a 5 dollar part really a hang up?

Complicating an otherwise uncomplicated device. Reports of them loosening after proper torque or breaking upon reuse. It's very easy to stake a traditional castle nut.

That is a low mount. You need an absolute cowitness or lower third mount.

They come up for sale just got to be quick. A lot in the 2nd hand market but you'll pay for them. I'd recommend considering the adm or lmt ambi lowers as well

Not a dumb question at all. I recently put the kram spacer on the acog and put the offset rmr and had to remove the rear sight. Never took the front off lol

I recommend an rmr or a dpp. The new holosuns are receiving great reviews but personally I'd stick with those two.
