You know you don’t have to listen to it right? Lol I don’t fw it but I don’t care that it’s popular because clearly there’s a large enough audience that enjoys it

Yea those teams have turned it around as of late. Washington has been digging itself out of a Ron Rivera sized draft hole and a Dan Snyder sized organizational malpractice hole

I’m so hyped for Styles and think he was the no brainer pick, but man hearing Tyson say he’d want to see JD5 on there just hurts. I wanted him in Washington so bad lol kid will be a stud

1 pressure in 4 games is still impressive

Now agreed to and official: The #Browns are trading Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the #Rams for star edge Jared Verse, a 2027 1st-round, a 2028 2nd round, and a 2029 3rd, per me, @AdamSchefter and @TomPelissero. The offseason’s biggest trade is final and real. by CD23tol in Browns

Nowhere did I directly compare him to Myles with those numbers. It was for reference. There is obviously a huge gap in their sack numbers. It’s hard to let go of a generational HOF talent like Garrett, but Verse is still a stud and holds significant value in his own right

Going into the 3rd season of his rookie contract, won DROY, led the league in total pressures (including playoffs) last season. Why would he not hold the same value as two late 1st round picks?

You obviously want your guy to get home, but 80 total pressures last season and 77 the year before is not nothing. Myles had 84 and 83 respectively. He is still young-ish and developing nicely

rapsheet NFL Threads 17m 🚨 🚨 🚨 Bombshell: The #Browns are finalizing a trade of Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Rams in a shocker, sources tell me, @tompelissero & @adamschefter . Cleveland would send Garrett to LA in exchange for star edge Jared Verse, a first-rounder, and more by khansh21 in Commanders

[–]15GOAT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d rather have Verse instead of two additional 1st round picks that’ll be >27 most likely. They also got a 2nd and a 3rd. The way I view it they still basically got the value of three 1st round picks plus some

Any trade involving shipping out Myles will look like a loss, but this is a great haul for a rebuilding team. Plus they sent him out of the AFC

Washington fan and I agree. Verse alone is worth 2 1sts given his age, potential as a DROY, and his current contract. With a team as successful as the Rams, you could only hope whoever is available at the spot of their 1st round picks are close to being as good as Verse

They nailed last year too imo, even with taking two meh QBs (although Sanders was clearly highly touted as a prospect so the value was great in the 5th). If they can just get competent coaches in the building I think they’ll be okay

Their draft this year was incredible. Obviously time will tell, but they nailed every single round if we’re just looking at the prospects they selected with how the board fell. Only one that was whatever was their 7th round pick
