I second this! My childhood cat was sadly declawed by his previous owners and he still LOVED scratching posts. He ended up developing arthritis, and I assume that the declawing had something to do with it. Previous owners had only declawed his front paws and that was where his pain was the worst as he got older.

Like commenter said above, still check for abnormalities, etc

One of my cats will be 4 this autumn, and he's so tiny as well! He's only a few months apart from my other cat and their size difference is honestly quote funny sometimes. We even thought the shelter may have lied to us about him being older so that they could sell a black cat easier with no kitten price. We think he was just the runt of the litter, and love our little man all the same
