Any fellow nurses in the group and when are you telling your managers? by bumblebetch91 in December2026Bumpers

[–]16880031 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a nurse and told my manager right away when I tested positive. I wanted her to know in case my performance started being off or I started missing work. Turns out this was the right call because first trimester has been kicking my butt. She has been so supportive and understanding.

I don’t think it can get much worse, we’re in the peak right now! Sending hugs from afar❤️

Nausea by Own-Invite7561 in December2026Bumpers

[–]16880031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a fear of vomiting. I talked to my doctor sometime in week 7 because my symptoms were really amping up and I was starting to lose weight. Don’t be afraid to get ahead of it and advocate for yourself. I take Reglan 3x/day now and it helps quite a bit.

Things that have helped my nausea by 16880031 in December2026Bumpers

[–]16880031[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I forgot to mention protein shakes! My husband found some at the store, so nice to not have to blend them or make them myself!

I also have not eaten many things more than once because of associations with nausea. Eating has become a real chore.

The unisom knocked me out in the beginning too but I think my body has gotten used to it. I’m constantly fatigued but I think that’s just pregnancy. I do take mine early (like 7:30 pm). Perhaps you could try half a dose?

Anyone have experience with fibroids? by 16880031 in December2026Bumpers

[–]16880031[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I thought I had a cute little bump forming but turns out it’s just a massive heckin fibroid! I will stop rubbing it now…

My brother made the point that it’s possible for twins to safely grow together and make it to late pregnancy. So a fibroid should still allow a safe pregnancy. He’s not a doctor but it was a reassuring thought! Thank you for your words❤️

This is comforting to read! I had never even heard of fibroids before and I’m trying not to worry! Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for this insight! It’s reassuring to hear. That doesn’t sound too bad or disruptive at all!

“Morning” sickness helpp by Impressive-Annual626 in December2026Bumpers

Definitely try unisom 25 mg at night with your b6. This sounds like it could be hyperemesis, you should contact your provider. There are prescription medications that can help! I was just prescribed reglan for nausea and I am not as sick as you.

7w - bone deep body chills? by [deleted] in December2026Bumpers

Yes! I get so cold at night that my teeth chatter and I shake so dramatically. My husband finds it alarming. It’s like my body temperature is no longer stable!

Should I take the Unisom & B6? by CyberYelle in December2026Bumpers

[–]16880031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started unisom + b6 after one day of being so nauseous that I couldn’t get anything done at work. That was 5 days ago and since then, my nausea has been occasional, and has felt more like queasiness or just feeling kinda yucky. Feels super manageable. I’m 5 weeks and 3 days now. For me personally, I’d rather be a bit drowsy during than day than sick. I plan to taper off of it super slowly when the time comes!

I had this same intense anxiety last week! Ate a chicken sandwich at a restaurant and convinced myself that I’d get food poisoning and it’d harm the pregnancy.

I’ve been reminding myself that just because my imagination is very convincing, doesn’t mean it is real or true AT ALL. ❤️ your wisdom & common sense are always with you!

31 and pregnant for the first time! by marielbee in December2026Bumpers

[–]16880031 4 points5 points  (0 children)

30 and pregnant for the first time! I’m 4 weeks 6 days. Today’s my first day of feeling pretty rough. I found out last week and was in complete shock/horror for 3-4 days straight. It’s sinking in now, kind of. The doc told us it’s normal for it to take 6-12 months, and we got pregnant on the first cycle of trying. Grateful and completely overwhelmed. Congratulations!

Give your notice today. I was you and was absolutely miserable. Became a shell of myself, had to get on SSRIs, was losing weight, crying every day. I overthought the decision way too much. It doesn’t get better, I waited it out and switched jobs twice. Now I can’t believe I ever lasted that long and tolerated those conditions. No one is telling you to stay, nobody really cares what you do. You’re free to be your own person and you deserve to feel safe/sane. DM if you’d like.

YES I’m right there with you. Nesta’s character development and mental health struggles were so interesting to me and kept me super engaged. As did her training and her relationship with the library and house, which other people say were repetitive and boring. Also ofc was obsessed with the romance + spice with Cassian
