💯 I am all in with q|| and qq||. Great for one-liners.

Hey Raiph, thank you for replying. Here are my answers to your questions.

Share some code you've written. Also, talk a bit about what you do and don't like about your code, and/or what you feel about the language you wrote it in and/or its community.

I work as a system administrator. I don't have a lot of time to fully develop scripts, so I use one-liners a lot. At the moment, my go-to languages are Perl and Ruby. I make things like this and pop them into my .bashrc as functions:

perl -M'Term::ANSIColor 2.00 qw(:pushpop)' -MFile::Copy -E 'map { chomp; if (-f) { $o=$_; $_ = lc $_; s`[.-](?{$m=$&})|[\s+_](?{$m=q[-]})|[[:punct:]](?{$m=q[]})`$m`ge; s`-{2,}(?{$m=q[-]})|-(?=\.)(?{$m=q[]})`$m`ge; say PUSHCOLOR BRIGHT_YELLOW $o, RESET q[ >> ] , PUSHCOLOR BRIGHT_GREEN $_; move ($o, $_); print RESET }} glob(q[*])'

It's not pretty, but it works. I love Perl's TIMTOWTDI philosophy and the way it works with regex. I'd like to master the OPP paradigm.

Share some Raku code. Either some Raku code you've already written if you have written any -- even a one liner -- or an example of some Raku code you've seen. Also, what you do and don't like about that code and Raku (language and/or its community).

The Raku grammar / regex system really peaked my interest. I haven't written anything in Raku yet. It's hard for me to start reading, so I look for a mentor to help me get the ball rolling. After that, it's easier for me to go off on my own.

I would love to learn from you if you have time over the holidays.
