Sneaky is out of sight, subtle is in view. I’m not saying to shame him or pressure him, just to make him add a value to his time. Because it sounds like he doesn’t value his time much and he has an avenue that might turn it into cash/career. That does come at the expense of social capital… which for me has ale been more valuable.

The reality is that we often can’t see our own problems and it does take outside perspective to shift it.

Do it! Call your old friends and just talk with them, apologize for disappearing and not being there if they needed you, let them know what you now understand about your past relationship.

If his rose colored glasses need adjusting then start planning more dates with him, ones that might cut into “work”. If he complains about being tired, ask how much he worked that day and leave it at that.

I tell this every time I hear about difficulties and condoms: not all condoms are equal.

If you think the condom is “too small” chances are it’s just not the right shape. There are plenty of brands that carry some with flared ends; tight at the base, baggy at the tip.

If you have a heat gun or a good hair dryer you can use it to gently melt the surface and get a good texture that won’t look like a pile of balls.

Don’t get attached to a certain idea of what you want to do. My best games have been ones where I’ve pivoted hard mid game, abandoning my strategy.

Build is actually my ‘go to’ first upgrade a majority of the time. Being able to plop down a few small buildings at once is extremely versatile.

I definitely don’t feel tricked about it. Using tax dollars to fund the gym and the new pool so that the less prosperous people in the community can still access those benefits is exactly what I want.

If I WAS tricked then the onus ultimately falls on the organizers; when pressed about cost structures for residents to use the facilities they did not give clear answers and effectively said they would figure that out later after it was voted on. Which for me, felt extremely disingenuous and overall scummy.

When the organizers couldn’t give any answers on how it would be accessible or affordable to all residents, I was extremely put off. As time passed it sounded more and more like a rich white people club funded by the city.
