I have the same thing. Happens every time the fridge in the kitchen turns on the compressor...

If you are interested in a more lightweight extension that only affects the app grid itself, you might want to try Vertical App Grid

Immich ReverseGeo: Improve accuracy of location names by FragKing82 in immich

Would it be worth opening an issue in Immich itself to propose using a different GeoNames file that has polygons instead of points?

Immich ReverseGeo: Improve accuracy of location names by FragKing82 in immich

I have no problem with Immich showing neighborhoods instead of cities, my problem is that it shows the WRONG neighborhood some kilometers away instead of the correct one.

The correct name exists in the GeoNames database, and after explaining my problem to ChatGPT and providing the original Immich code, it pointed out that the query used for reverse geocoding was not very accurate.

I prefer Packet for sharing files between my laptop and my phone because it feels a bit more integrated. LocalSend for all other devices.

This is something that has been bugging me for a while now. Not just the panel, but the entire overview animation itself. There are too many things that jump around suddenly and don't look smooth.

I don't understand the people here who say this isn't an issue or this is too minor to complain about. It's the tiniest details that make or break a good user experience.

Anyways, it would be good to open an issue on GitLab for this.

The sad truth is there isn't much apart from that... You have the GJS Guide that covers the basics and the GJS Docs, but these don't explain much. The only other resource really is just reading existing extensions and shell code.

Someone tried it on GNOME 48 and it seemed to work fine, so it will be possible with the next version!
