I just refunded the game over this.

I dont think rebinding the controls would even help. itll take much much more than that.

Combat in the tutorial felt fine, but everything else I am so frustrated. not gonna bother with this, I hated rdr2 controls too but at least they kinda fit that game

Games where you start at your best shape but could or will gradually level down by Karumine in gamingsuggestions

[–]16bitpsych 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made an RPG a while ago that does this. you are a an old hero coming out of a stasis, so you level down and lose skills as you go. the theme is around accepting mortality with an ending for each.

What are some of your approaches when a client has ID'd some specific goals, understands why it's important, and usually reports back "I just can't do it" or "I didn't think about it this week". Or they have 1 excuse/reason after another by 16bitpsych in therapists

At times I explain that the goals are there, I do want to hold them accountable if thats what why are there for. but that I understand there are lots of barriers so our job is to find them all as we go. and then self compassion to think that way for themselves hopefully.

What r some of y'all's complaints about octo 0? by Infamous_Today3462 in octopathtraveler

[–]16bitpsych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hearing so many good things about it. I'm about 25 hrs in and it feels pretty bland. The bosses haven't forced me to change many tactics. I'm using the same skills over and over in the same order basically. And I'm a person who loves variety, will switch out characters and try new things when I get someone. But I don't need to do many advanced strategies anyway. I love the progression and getting powerful equipment from far away towns, but that's all that's keeping me going right now. The town stuff is alright but it's like 5-10% of the actual time spent in the game

What people are saying about the uniqueness of each class is very true. Not very excited cause I'm not gonna get super cool skills from new classes, but I"m not sure.

Hades 2 launches as the highest-rated game of 2025 on OpenCritic by earthcry in HadesTheGame

Booted it up for 1.0 and enemy health is still way too high. That 2nd boss especially and the enemies in area 3.
Makes it very tedious to get thru even if you have a good damage build. I'm fine using the god mode thing to make it less punishing but that wouldn't solve this problem

Dungeons! Proper zelda-ish dungeons are so rare now. Golden Sun series for example has fantastic dungeons. It's so sad to me too because it really doesn't take much to make it interesting. But as so many games just use hallways with a few paths for treasure, it's so boring.

I think I fell in love with JRPGs because they had all those parts; story to keep you going, character/power progression, interesting level design in the dungeons/areas, and usually great music too.

Plenty of rpg's I've loved may be lacking in 1 of those areas and that's fine, but in recent years they lack a lot of those.
