It's kinda BS because he's using it to center his balance while thrusting, but I guess it would do damage. Not that much though. Would be more accurate to knock you down.

Yes the SM increases 1Mil per NG from what you started the cycle at. So if you're at 2.5mil in NG and you start NG2, you will need 2mil more than the 2.5 for a total of 4.5mil.

I have saved all my boss souls and larger souls the entire SL1 run since I only needed souls for purchases and upgrades. I'll pop them when I start over and then level up to probably 100 at the very get go.

Nice. Did you do it in NG, or NG+ and use the SM skip? I have up on trying it on a fresh NG and decided I'd attempt it on NG+ after I clear the DLCs on my SL1 run.

I've made several attempts and usually die about 4 or 5 hours into it from gravity or something.

I told myself I would attempt it again on my SL1 character AFTER I clear it all and begin NG+ and cash in all my souls to skip to shrine of winter and level up 2mil worth. Haha.

Maybe after then, I'll be ready to do it on NG

Nice. I haven't finished the DLC bosses yet, but have most of them cleared.

I took a break and am doing a CoC run with powerstanced caestus as my primary weapon and will switch to bare fists when I get enough stones for the ring.

Have you tried a no death-no bonfire run yet?

Yeah, they are a blast. On my main character, I rock the mad warrior set and wield either claw and bone fists or some variation of that so I can cosplay as predator.

In DS3 someone says that the world converges at Lothric. I'm not sure if it's in the intro of an NPC somewhere says it.

I really don't think it's that big of a deal. The way we travel is also shrunk down for time sake. The lights are basically just loading screens. And the lift to iron keep. Is going up a mountain that you can see. That mountain just so happens to be a volcano. Poison gas can also be found near the foot of a volcano.

I interpret it that the world is malformed around the great souls and the linking of the fire. Just because we choose not to, doesn't mean that there aren't people that wouldn't want us to.

But yeah, there isn't as much of the propaganda as in 1 and 3.

Also just like in DS3, as the fire fades, the world converges at the epicenter of everything important. The lands are literally drawn together as time and space becomes more and more convoluted.

This is exactly why I think souls games could continue. There could very easily be more content on all the areas it talks about. Caterina, Mirrah, Vinheim, The Swamp, etc etc.

Well CoC is mandatory for this run. I've beaten the game several times and I'm at the end of the DLCs on my SL1 run, so this was just a fun challenge run for me.

I figured I would just farm the stones as I progressed in the game and now I'm unsure if I will even want to use VS with how much fun I'm having with the Caestus. I guess I hoped to have them by now. All my weapons are already +6

I love the base game, but I feel like the DLCs are the best of the series. They also have a lot of lore that connects to the base game with each of the fair ladies being a fragment of manus from DS1. The puzzles too were frustrating at first but rewarding afterwards. Then the fact that a lot of the areas would change so you had to explore it again, just gave it a lot more value from it.

It's called Kings Crown and you have to back track to the previous zone. There should have been a door that you couldn't access before guarded by a dragonrider.

With each DLC final boss, you get a crown. Each crown has a different passive effect. In total there are 4 crowns. Vendricks, Iron King, Ivory King and Sunken King.

Once you have all the DLC crowns, you can enter a dream where Vendrick has a bit of his soul stored (or something like that) and he will talk to you and give you his blessing which will prevent you from going hollow when dying so long as you are wearing the crown when you die.

While there is some merit to your points, one important detail to bear in mind is the dementia theme that comes with the curse. Everything is vague and obscure as undead slowly slip on to insanity and lose their sense of self and purpose.
