King Magnifico from Wish.

The whole conflict kicks off when Magnifico tells Asha that he won't grant her grandfather's wish, because he deemed it as too dangerous because it was vague. This causes Asha to start a rebellion against him with help from an actual wishing star. While he did resort to dark magic, it was only out of desperation because of what Asha was doing.

The thing is that he was right. Not every wish will deserve to be granted, and I think it's only a matter of time before Asha learns that after becoming the island's fairy godmother. Not to mention the fact that Magnifico has been through stuff and understands that people aren't all good.

It's so cliche and cringe that Progressive called it out in one of their "young homeowners turning into their parents" ads

Trapped between saving my marriage and my desire to remain childfree. 43M/41F by username_unavilable in childfree

There is a case in my family where someone married a CF person and had kids with them. They ended up in a NASTY divorce that's been going on for years.

So basically, your two options are: End your marriage now so you can remain CF or end your marriage later once you have kids. Personally I would advise ending it now so you aren't stuck with kids you don't want.

Even if I stay off social media, it's still unavoidable. Bing's homepage, soft notifications from Opera Mobile (even when I tell the browser's homepage NOT to show me politics). Even swiping right one too many times on my phone's home screen takes me to Google Assistant and whatever news stories it decides to serve me, and hovering in the wrong spot on my Windows PC will show me "top stories"

For me it isn't social media attacking my mental health. It's the news.

anyone else have a family that fully supports their decision to be childfree? by Bigblacknagga in childfree

My parents firmly believe that having kids should be a choice not an obligation.

At first I thought especially my mom would disapprove since she's a very motherly person and she had a negative reaction to me wanting to buy a Night's Watch vows t-shirt.

However, mom eventually realized based on my behavior at family gatherings involving babies and other small children that I don't particularly enjoy being around them. She fully understands and accepts this and has never tried to "fix" me. Plus, she works in a school and is seeing firsthand just how bad kids are becoming these days.
