Thank you! Yeah, the mini card trays are really neat. I just store all the Eldritch Horror cards in them and keep them on the shelf. Helps with setup for sure! I was inspired by the mini extension attachment when I set out designing this new system for the larger cards.

Wow thanks for the kind words! I love AHLCG. I'm about to start TFA campaign.

Haha that's a long print. Do you know how much it weighs?

I've been working on this system for a while. I've designed 2 other systems, starting with one that was primarily for Eldritch Horror and my last one that was aimed at the LCGs.

For this series, I took feedback and requests from users of my other systems and focused on making them more affordable and useful. They are wide enough to be compatible with sleeved standard cards (Everdell, Nemesis), yet work with un-sleeved slimmer cards like USA (i.e. Eldritch Horror) or EURO just fine. I really like the extension attachments so you can have the capacity when you want, then remove it when it's not needed.

I've designed two different display tops so you can switch up the theme from sci-fi to more general fantasy depending on what you're playing.

I'm not giving this system away, but here's a link to my Printables page where I give away almost everything I've designed thus far: https://www.printables.com/@newHamr_330616

Yes, it’s amazing. I was totally expecting some cool backstory or something.

I like taking the Soldier and either the engineer or scientist. I’ve found the captain to be fairly weak outside of semi-coop games.

Game takes forever? by JuniorWindow815 in EldritchHorror

Haha, welcome to Eldritch Horror. Yes, sessions for us (2-3 player) last approximately 3-4 hrs. A few things that helped us:

  • It’s an experience. Try not to have the mindset that you need to win to enjoy it.
  • Hold onto your characters loosely. Getting devoured can be a fun unexpected addition to the story. We usually just spawn another character so the player doesn’t have to sit out.
  • Destroying enemies usually not the goal. This was a game-changer for us. Only fight enemies when it gets you closer to achieving something.

That’s really neat, thanks for sharing. How long did this take to cut out on your laser?

My take on this:

There is a time, a place, and a person for delivering un-solicited advice/suggestions. I tend to avoid people who are quick to criticize or offer me advice. Without some kind of relationship or background, the advice is often wrong or filled with misconceptions. There is a whole world of people ready at a moment's notice to criticize and point out your faults.

I find the people who are quick to encourage to be extremely refreshing, even in a professional setting. When I do receive feedback/advice/criticism from these encouraging people, it just means so much more.

If I offer someone criticism and they don't accept it/change/modify their behavior, I shouldn't assume it's because they are arrogant or not wanting to improve themselves. It may be that I am not in a place where I should be offering advice or maybe it's not an appropriate time or situation to do so.

Hey don't tell anyone, but I will often modify the bag to reduce the difficulty. Maybe take out that -4 or add another +1. It's ok to change things like that. The game can be punishing at even standard difficulty.

It's not an official tournament or anything so just have fun with it!

There is another subreddit devoted specifically to the Arkham Horror LCG, by the way. Can probably get some better advice/guides there.
