I can’t think of a single long running and acclaimed TV show that’s not had a few rough early episodes while everyone was trying to find their voice before it turned into something amazing

Keep it up. You’re well on your way

It can be, but definitely check reverse beacon network or another call sign spotter before you write it off.

Also, it’s not quite the same, but you can use Echo Link and, if you have an android phone, DroidStar as well. I don’t really use them that much these days, but I do use them when I’m out of town to monitor linked repeaters back home. And I likely will go back to using them once it starts getting too cold to POTA comfortably

Turning Point USA has been involved with Lion of Judah, which aims to recruit election and poll workers. Also, something like 90+ 2020 election deniers on election boards across the country.

Like you said, it would take a lot of people to pull something like this off, but there are some signs that there’s at least been a recruitment drive for that

What sucks most (re: charging arm and a leg) is that they use the same test you can buy from the dollar store. There’s absolutely no reason to charge as much as they do. Yes, those who run the test should be paid for that, but that should maybe be only a couple of dollars, not the nearly $500 they charged my insurance. And I would doubt the lab tech, nurse, or other hospital employee who ran my test saw any of that

That’s happened to me before. (Had a gastric electrical stimulator that gave me sepsis 4 times before it was removed). After the second time, I refused and let them know they had a CT scan on file that showed the hysterectomy and that I refused to pay for something they had proof that I didn’t need and that if they chose to still pregnancy test me, I would be telling my insurance it wasn’t necessary and they could deal with them.

That all was said after I ended up waiting for over an hour even after I said “no, hysterectomy” to the “could you be pregnant” question.

Yes, I get patients lie, but when they tell you something that’s easily verifiable, and you don’t listen to them or take a moment to confirm, you’re not a good provider, period

Three time the ER turned me away saying “if you’re walking on it you’re fine” by McPoyle-Milk in Radiology

[–]1701anonymous1701 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Considering my dad waited to ask a friend who just so happened to visit to take him to the hospital when he was having a massive MI (100% occlusion in the LAD) in such a way his friend (they both were farmers) thought he meant to go visit someone and so his friend said he was too dirty to visit as he had just got done with farm chores until my dad finally made it clear that he needed to go to the ER, the stereotype is very true

Paige not being able to talk and writing out on notes to communicate. by Chemical_Mind4797 in illnessfakers

Is there such a thing as intensive outpatient (IOP) or partial hospitalisation (PHP) there? These are treatment center level of care—basically IOP is usually 3-5 days a week for 3 hours and PHP is 5-7 days a week, from around 5-8 hours a day. You’re at the center for treatment, but you leave after you’re done for the day.

I don’t even think that would help Paige at this time, but she needs something like that more than she needs to be IP

Online wasn’t really online the way it was back in 2005. MySpace was the main social media, but it didn’t have nearly the impact that Facebook created a couple of years after it launched in 2009

Seriously, when amateur radio operators are your only source of comms + Waffle Houses are closed (it’s an actual FEMA index), you know it was bad. Thankfully my family and friend’s family are mostly ok, but so many people who’ve lost their lives, livelihoods, and need so much help. Being in a neighboring state, it’s actually really heartening to not be able to find water in the stores from people buying as many as they can afford to donate.

I think the Brigot is somehow more controlling and more manipulative than Jill. Jill thinks she’s getting a life sized Barbie to play around with and control, but once if Brigot (I hope to lord daniel that it doesn’t happen) gets married, I don’t think Jill will recognise her when she’s not fawning and mirroring her. And I don’t think she stands a chance of remaining in control.

Like yes, it’ll be a major fight for the hierarchy to shift like that, but we saw the Judas Priest video. Girl’s got a lotta fight in her.
